Do you know if the usual alloy is standard and the other colours are options? The gold anodised? Black and white powder coated? Painted rims are troublesome
Tyres used on the 430 Scuderia will be Pirelli PZero Corsa, available ex Factory only, 235/35 front and 285/35 rear.
+1, fantastic color combo Undecided on a stripe, but a stripe in Grigio Tit. might be nice and not detract too much. The Scuderia is going to make people forget the CS, the CS already looks aged.
don't know about anyone else's experience with bridgestones, but everything i read about them (including their poor performance vs michelin in F1) is that their tires are sorry.
The curb weight is also misleading. Without a DIN certification a "curb weight" could mean anything and in this case the 1350kg means absolutely nothing. Notice in the "specs" in that pdf thats been floating around they spec that the "curb weight" is in the Euro Lightest form. The pdf specs for this Scud are like STOP signs in Italy - only a suggestion, hardly definitive.
Hard to tell but the 430S doesn't look to be much lower than the F430? The 360CS was considerably lower than the 360 and caused some issues as a daily driver. Curious to hear others opinion. Not a huge fan of the "logo" on the rear; would rather it just say scuderia and omit the somewhat cartoonish "430". Mixed feelings on the modern looking font used on the gauges. Overall I can see what they are trying to accomplish here and the designers were consistent in their design choices for the car. It's definitely going to be a screamer and those 60ms shifts should be insane. By far the most interesting rumor to surface here is the non-limited edition nature of the car? Seems these are going to be "limited" by default. Drew
oh come on jas! i dont agree w/ aged/dated either but it's a heck of a lot better than the "hideous" scud description i read somewhere . . .
Absolutely gorgeous. Specs to die for. For you future owners, I can't wait to see your SCUDMSL vanity license plates.
Go for it. I placed an official order with a payment for the 430 Scuderia yesterday. You won't regret it .
Do you think the "limited" nature is being downplayed to appease the czars (aka slide it in) regarding the seat belt restraint issue? Thx
. . .So, let me get this straight. There will be no CS. Instead, it will be called the Scuderia? Hmm. I prefer the challenge/BBS style wheels and the stripes don't need to be there. Cheers, JJ
On some level, absolutely. The CS was introduced as a last model year addition to the 360 body style but was commonly know as simply "challenge stradale" with no reference to "360", where its pretty obvious with the logo on the back that this is a "430". Am I the only one that thinks that "430" is goofy? My guess is that 2008 is the last year of the F430.
I think he means linking the new Scuderia name with 430 seems strange to him, whereas the CS was simply called CS and not 360CS.
