no dealers in Japan have the order books open. There is no specification, no pricing and nothing.

I understand collecting a deposit is the norm but its hard to determine what you mgiht end up getting :)

having said that, my Japanese PI also will be getting one, but we'll reveal more details when Japan Nissan Dealers offically open their order books..:)

Not referring to the shape, of course its a nicely shaped car, but having white is just like having Giselle wear grannie undies :) Plus having red interior on a 599 with a white exterior seems rather fussy, add to that mod rims and the whole look just goes out the window just my two cents, SBS buses i take looks like ****, but no complaints hor kekekek

Its an NSX underneath honey, just a rebodied NSX, but its butt ugly IMO, same goes for the cars for the whole range, only the real loony bins would spend on wierd contraptions for 100k plus hor, rather spend it on lifelike inflatable gals, 8k a pop and can make noise too!

You know after reading yet about another car (F430 in Manila) fire.

Maybe we should install something proper. I used to carry a bottle of fire extinguisher in my ride but didn't bother to secure it so that will become an "in-house torpedo" should you spin or crash it.

My old 911 always reeks of fuel in it's cabin & I suspect the fuel lines are old & leaking vapour....

What else do you guys know of about putting car fires out. I heard there's a system here where they install a small tank in the engine compartment & run some plastic tubes around the bay when fire breaks out the heat will melt those tubes & set off the fire extinguisher's chemical to put out the fire. Also heard of another that "sucks" out the oxygen in there forcing the fire to die.

Also read in another thread that Porsche did issue a warning to owners in their Boxster & Turbos not to smoke while driving in case the ashes/butt get sucked into the air-scoops! Imagine those smokers from other cars in traffic, I always see people throwing cigs out & when it hits the ground, the burning ashes fly around. Imagine you drive over that & your fuel tank's overflow line picks up & you have a ball of fire!

Tiong, imagine if the F1 hydraulic fluid is flammable & the hot CATs burn it. We'll be having roasted horse meat for breakfast!

Actually happens to other cars as well. We've seen a Gallardo with Egear hose came loose & sprayed the fluid all over as well & my friend from BMW said it happens to those SMG boxes too.

It happened to another car in Sepang when a rear brake hose came lose & the fluid got burnt by the hot rotors....car was just few months old.

Rara, you've been boating. Can you help me to check with the dealers if they know of any boat suppliers that sell these fire supression system here? Apparently Marine applications are useful to auto industry.

    Found it. Called the Stinger

    http://www.interlinksolutions.com/stinger.htm

But I wonder if my engine compartment gets heated over 79degrees esp on a hot bad traffic day. That'll be an embarassing & a mess to clean!

Not sure if u are referring to same situation but this F430 which caught small fire at Sepang got its warranty void. The Ferrari head office people were at Sepang that day...and saw the car with a Tubi installed. They told HSM they will not cover the warranty coz of change of exhaust. This even though the cause of fire was unrelated. True Story.
