Anyone notice the latest times have the F430 a second quicker than the CS? Wonder where the Scuderia will fall...I wouldn't be surprised at 1:23 or so.

I would say the 430 Scuderia due to the extremely fast shifting time could be anywhere around the 360 Challenge and Enzo times.

It blows me away that it's shift times are only 10ms slower than an F1 car (50ms) - that is unbelievable! I couldn't imagine a car shifting any faster than a 599 (100ms), and yet here comes the Scuderia (60ms); almost twice as fast.

I wonder where the times for the 430 Challenge are??

As amazing as the Scudiera sounds I just don't see the cars' lap times coming down to 1:22 from 1:27, that's 5 seconds a lap quicker. The Enzo has a more hi tech racing suspension, 140 more HP and weight is almost the same. The only advantage may be in tires, the Scuderia has a softer rubber compound...but, the Enzo's tires are also much wider (larger contact patch). I guess we have to wait and see.

Does anyone have the Germany Nuringberg (SP) times for the lastest Ferrari's? Hopefully the Scuderia will be able to be quicker then the Porsche GT3 RS, which is under 7:40.

Dan, I think the F1 cars shift faster now with the Seamless Gearboxes.

This is uncomfirmed but one of the Ferrari Challenge team managers indicated that he had heard that the F430 Scuderia will lap at or very close to the Enzo's time.

I think this has been confirmed. In the 430 Scuderia Product Information brochure Ferrari states, "It is designed to completely satisfy the expectations of sporty and passionate customers. Purely as an indication of the superior performance of this car, on the Fiorano circuit the 430 Scuderia records lap times comparable with the Enzo Ferrari, the fastest road-legal supercar ever made by Ferrari."

Anybody notice the 599 is quicker than the F50 and not just the F40.

i think its difficult to base a cars track performance based on the performane on a single track solely.
you woud have to have track times from tracks with different characteristics.
surely the scuderia will favour short twisty tracks than long power tracks.
its main advantage lies in the shorter gearing (only 320 max speed) as well as the incredible shift times of the f1 tranny.

on longer tracks such as the NBR cars with more power and higher top speed will have the edge.

what tires was the enzo lapped with ? this makes a huge difference.....

i believe that if enzo and scuderia were raced on a long track like NBR, the scud will not stand a chance.....
