    In opera master classes students are taught the the emphasis in Italian is always on the vowel not the consonant.

    Americans emphasize the consonants so it is counterintuitive for us.

    Anyone notice that last year, Windsor on Speed TV in the post-race interviews, pronounced it "sku-DARE-e-ya", and this year is pronouncing it "sku-da-REE-ya"?

    It all depends what part of Italia you are from.

    I will ask my wife, She is Italian, and speaks the mother tounge fluantly.

    I think is correct..............But she will know for sure.

    She has already straightened me out on, Modena, and Scaglietti.
