Hi future 512 TR brethren, I was wondering if someone could please tell what the oil capacity is on the 512 TR. I am going to buy some Mobil1 0w-40 and I am wondering exactly how much to buy.

Remember, that is a 'stone dry' measurement. You will probably get nowhere near that amount of oil out (unless it was overfilled!) during a home oil change. Nearly a liter can remain trapped in the oil lines during a change.

The equally useful measurement is the "2 liter" difference between MIN and MAX on the dipstick.

    Good thinking.

So what does the "2 liter" differential actually turn out to be?

That is indeed 2lt. It's useful because if the (properly measured) oil level is at the MIN line, you'd need to add about 2 liters to reach MAX.
