It has been removed, also from the Australian section. It's an internal Ferrari circular, still confidential and still not intended for the public, only for the distributors. We should not have access to it and it cannot be shown on F-Chat. Some might have saved it on their hard discs. Please do not repost it.

Here in the U.S.A. I was told by a dealer $225,000, so it sounds like the price is just perfect.

 

On the rear of the car there is the emblem for the 430S. I think it looks 'goofy'. I liked the nice script, easily overlooked 'challenge stradale' emblem. Much more understated. But I guess nothing about the 430S is understated!

As far as I know, Ferrari never duplicates model names, so there was never any thought of calling it a CS.

I actually really like the name "Scuderia" for the car.

 

When are the first lucky persons getting their cars? Any ideas?

And is it true that this will not be limited production car but a entirely new model alongside the coupe and spider?

I've heard of Sept deliveries in Europe, I would guess first quarter '08 for the U.S.

TESS is the Trademark Electronic Search System available from the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). The patent database is arcane, but there are several tools, including Google, which aid a researchers. TESS is far worse than arcane.....

Finally Ferrari does some press photos worth putting on my wallpaper. This looks to be an absolute stunner of a car and should provide a driving experience to more than match it's looks. Based on how good the regular F430 sounds, I can only imagine the tune this baby will make.

 

$225,000 is lower than I would expect. Does that mean the options list has changed?

I mean....with the weaker dollar, and the fact that the limited production models is how they increase prices.....and that the CS has had a market "buzz" and tremendous resale....they could have gotten more.


I don't expect I will move off my CS I know it sounds silly....but it is so cool to me I would like to keep it till my last days.

Europe in Jan 2008, rest of the world starting March 2008. Information was obtained from extremely reliable sources. A few cars will be delivered between October and December 2007 for press and testing purposes.
I will be getting mine in March 2008.

 

First ones in Europe should be end dec '07 early '08 but there is already talk of some delay..........as usual....(the CS came 3 months late).

It is a limited production car - just no one is saying how limited.

It is the most extreme road car they have ever produced and therefore it will only really be of significant interest to those who use it on a track, so notwithstanding the oohs and aahs there are a lot of folks who will prefer a regular road car (F430 or 599). The price, it would appear, will raise some oohs and aahs too.....North of 200K€ and not just a few grand north...
