Former run routes, via google maps. Do a sanity check before using, I don't know that Google is always going to give you what you want. I'm not responsible for anything if you use these and get lost, injured or dead ;)

For what it's worth, it actually IS possible to combine these runs into a massive Loop of the Metroplex -- not that anyone would, but it can be done :D

That's part of the McKinney->Sherman run. Good road!

One day I will throw all of them together. Anyone up for a 12 hour tour of the Metromess?

Did a short run south with a friend who bought a mint 2002 911 Targa Top on Saturday.

We went south on I-45 to Palmer. Took Fm 813 east and then 660 north, which looped us back around to I-45 at Ferris. Some nice turns, but watch out on 660 for a couple of blind hill-crests. You see them coming so slow down, if you hit it going fast you may get airborne. It's only about 25 minutes south of Dallas, so easy to get too, and I'm sure there are other driver's roads nearbly

Backup option was 175 south to Crandall. Eat at the Cotton Gin Restaurant (home cookin') and then out west to some twisties. Google Crandall and you will see some roads west of there that are good.

I like these better than the Celina / north of Denton stuff, because it take almost an hour from Dallas to get out to the good roads.

Which roads West of Crandall are good? I drive through there all the time on the way to the lake, would love to find some entertaining roads in that area of the world.

It is a short run some biker friends do on saturday mornings. Just after Segoville take 1389 west. Left at 3039. As you come in to Crandall left of 148. At 175 pull in to the Cotton Gin for Chicken Fried Steak and eggs. Two warnings. They say on 3039 just after some bottom lands near 148 they have been watching, and especially just over the hill heading north on 175 back in to Dallas there is often radar there. Might be able to tie in these 2 runs with Malloy Bridge road?

Google Maps states that the McKinney to Sherman route is 85.5 miles, and takes 3 hours 20 minutes. How long does it really take (on an early Sunday morning)? ;)

I worked for the Ferris V.F.D., and lived off of 813. Seen alot of cars flip off the steep shoulders before all the guardrail was put in. My mom still lives out there, between Ferris and Rockett. Also lived in Italy. The roads get a little rough at times as you get closer to I-35.
The country around Ellis County is beautiful this time of year though, so enjoy!
