seriously, except for those people on this board who have been buying ferraris for a while or have a cozy relationship with a dealer, does anyone expect to pay $225k for this car? i would be surprised if this car could be bought below $300k (again, if you are not one of the aforementioned 'chosen ones'). look at how almost universally this car is being appreciated on this thread alone. very different from the 360, original f430, 612 or 599. this car will be in demand. my two cents.

For everyone wondering about the mirrors, the stock 430 mirrors are designed to channel air into the engine vents, and CS style mirrors wouldn't do that.

If you are stupid enough to go hammering down a wet dark cold laneway on a miserable wet night at RPM's high enough to be anywhere near the LED's, distraction is the least of your problems. Get real. Short shifting in the wet to reduce torque...

In normal daily driving you will rarely be aware of the existence of the lights. I have them in my 599 and they are fantastic. It is absolutely unnecessary that they be dimmed or knocked off. But if you really feel strongly about it:

    a. don't order them. They are an option
    b. carry a piece of black tape and stick it onto your wheel for those wet dark , cold, miserable nights on narrow country lane!!!

A valid question was asked based on no knowledge of the shift light system.

I do the same on my F430. I use Velcro, but in my country people like to collect number plates.

With noise and other environment restrictions closing in on manufacturers in the future, people are probably figuring something wild and hardcore like this car will be very collectable.
