The Ferrari F70 is coming out in 2009 (w/o any delayes). The new car is going to deliver absolutely blistering performance from what I hear:

    -750 hp
    -235 mph top speed
-pininfarina p 4/5 style rear end and exaust.

    No!

The name is Enzo, it was just known as F60 before the official release with the official name Enzo.

Hope I'm not wrong about this, please correct me if I am.

it was speculated by the motoring press and fans that the enzo was going to be the F60, however it was never called or (afaik) even referred to as F60 by the factory

There was no F30, F20, F10 or even F00 either, but there still were an F40 and F50 and even an F430 not to forget the F1 cars ;);)

Doesn't Glick own the design rights to the P4/5? If so, how can this "F70" have the rear of the P4/5?

The Enzo actual name is the “Ferrari Enzo Ferrari” that’s what the factory will tell you. When the Enzo Ferrari was in concept the media called it the F60, Ferrari never did. After the car was reviled to the public Ferrari told the world that the car was named “Enzo Ferrari” after the founder of the company.

To this day there are still people like you that fail to understand that there has been no F60 and it was a media mess-up.

Any way you look at it, they are still going streight to the F70, and if i am correct, the project FXX has been going on to try and perfect ferrari's next supercar... by the way, how did you contact the factory (other than actually visiting it) I'm curious?

Okay, here you go. F40, F50, etc. are decade designations.

F40 was named for the 40th anniversary of the founding (1947-'87)

Though it appeared a couple of years early, the F50 was named for the 50th anniversary (1947-'97)

Since it came out in this decade, the Enzo qualifies for the F60 title, but that was apparently passed over in favor of naming it after the founder.

F70 would be for the coming decade (if they decide to continue the tradition). No way would it be released in '09, and not before 2012, I would surmise.

I think clues to the next Ferrari Supercar can be found here:http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=155738

I think we'll be seeing it in about 3 years.

It wouldn't amaze me if it had some P 4/5 styling cues as P 4/5 of course has much Ferrari styling DNA.

F1 style exhaust chimneys do help aero.

As I've said IMO it will be lighter and have many new technoligical innovations.

    I'm leaning to Black.
