Thank you Napolis for the fantastic Brands-Hatch video. 0854 on the Maranello Concessionaires trailer is amazing! If somebody has photos like this, it would be nice to post them...
I bought this shot of 0854 at a photo store in Le Mans, 1980. Nice colors on the rear just before the Le Mans start in 1967.

slightly off topic but the driver lineup for that race was simply fantastic
what an era that must have been for both driver and spectator alike.

You are absolutely correct. It was an extraordinary time with an amazing cast of characters. Looking at the list you've posted, it is interesting to see how many great personalities were present that day.

    Hi Jim,

Nice pictures! Question: is there a piece of gauze behind the big opening in the nose sections of 0846 and 0854, like you can see in the nose section of 0848?

Will there be gauze in the big opening at the rear end of 0854?

Will the tail of 0854 be painted baby blue between the rear light units and along the luggage boxes?

    Hi Jim,

What will be the color of the panel underneath the rear window in the tail? Black like 0848 or red like 0844?

I was lucky enough to be there (aged 14) - brings back a lot of memories.

Notice the amount of people standing all over the exit to the pitlane when the cars were pitstopping!

Last I heard this was happening but I've not received an update in a while.

From what I understand they found the original molds so they can make them.

    I'll ask.

    Hi Jim,

As far as I understood you said that the tail from 0858 was on 0854 and the original 0854 tail came with it. I have a small question on the 0858 tail. One could clearly see that this tail had no lower pair of tail lights. Was that factory specification for 0858 or were they removed later?

On the photograph is 0854 with 0858 tail back in 1990. Picture courtesy of M.Sheehan.

    Hi Jim,

    The following takes place:

You wake up in the morning, it's a very nice and sunny day. You bump into the owner of 0858 who wants to sell his car. You like the thought of owning three P4 cars so you buy it. What are you going to do? Leave it as it is: a 350 CanAm racer and you're going to restore it. You like berlinettas and you'll bring it back to original factory specification and maybe even in LeMans 1967 outfit (#21). You want the perfect Brands Hatch car. You convert the CanAm racer into a beautiful Spyder with BOAC signs and #8 racing plates and celebrate the second place it earned back then. I'm just wondering...

    Kind regards,
    Wouter Bekker
