Consider it a good thing that you have no info, and it you find out what it is, for heaven's sake spare us the details Joe www.joesackey.com
Just got back from a 700 mile drive in the Countach, decided to drive it back instead of shipping. Tim did a great job on the engine and several other areas and it ran perfectly all the way home from MN to KS. It was quite a trip. I will share some good stories of the trip later. Time to get some sleep! Thanks again Tim As you can imagine, the gas pump was visited often. More pics tomorrow! Brian, it was great to finally meet you in person after all this time. It was a special moment when we were at the gas station and the man on the bicycle asked if the Countach was a new "hybrid" or an electric car. LOL You have a great car and I'm glad to see you had a good trip back.
That's the Zastrow Countach, made by a German tuning company and proudly presented in a German car magazine shortly after, in which they asked the silly question "can HE be made prettier?" or something like that. The answer to that question is no.
It was a fun project and I was sad to see it go home. I felt a bit like a dad sending his daughter out on her first date as Brian drove away on his 700 mile "shakedown cruise". The Aston Martin Vantage that has replaced it in the shop is no substitute but it needs my attention. Next car, '99 Diablo Roadster. Another Lamborghini, now there's a car!
My back is slowly beginning to straighten out. At 6'3", it is a very tight fit for me. A Gurney bubble (GT40) would have been nice. I would do it all again in a heartbeat though. I only wish that I could have stayed, gone out to dinner that Tim had already planned and talked more about cars. Next time! Take a look at the rocket go-kart mounted on the wall in his garage....talk about garage art! Brian Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
nsxer - amazing drive - great for you. I took my CT out yesterday, just installed a new optima battery and she fired up and went like a banshee. I can just imagine logging those miles....I am completely confident in my car doing that kind of trip, but I may show up in Monterey (towing there though) I love your car!!

....Great shots Joe! But...gee...how did you manage to get the car made this enormous traw-rolls??? Ciao! Walter
As of my info the car was owned by a chap who produced neon-lights and also owned a F40 in the late 80ies. I saw this ....eh...."Jetsons-on-Drugs-Car" many yearsago only once and was shocked. I heared some years ago that it was involved in a crash and burned down! God is great......!!! Ciao! Walter
I never tried that with mine!!! But I had great success lifting the skirts of nice girlzzzzzz with that incredible nose.....! Ciao! Walter
Only 2 LP400 Countach are on the list of registered participants at Concorso Italiano. Are there any other known to be attending the event. After almost a year of anticipating the Contach Reunion, it will be very disappointing if only 2 are present. Andy
One person has suggested to me that Ferraris 60th has affected attendance as many of the owners also own Ferraris and are following those cars to the Ferrari events... Joe www.joesackey.com
