    Dear Comrade carsinxs,

You must calm down. For Chaos is a perfectly decent gentleman and he only troubled to make you aware of one or two omissions that you had made with regard to terminological inexactitudes.

    With kind regards,

I must confess to making spelling mistakes in my haste (and glee) to post my thoughts on the comedy duo. And yes, I have noticed carinsx's penchant for big words he cant spell, but it is his lack of proper use of grammar that has me more worried. I do recall that Chaos has politely requested that he "get a life" and one hopes that during the acquisition of the aforementioned his grammatical skills will improve. For my part I profess only to being a mere learner...

im a 30 something man of the world with a measured IQ of 149 - so i hope im intelligent and capable enough to read things and see between the lines - i'll be frank here, what youve stated is NOT what i see - its not even close.

i see a thread with a lot of information, where people are willing to share and debate.
some great pics have been posted
and indeed the thread has value to both ppl with an interest in the euopean cars (such as myself and 512 tea are) and those who prefer the usa cars - due to the fact that whilst the primary focus is the USA car the euro car has to be mentioned when discussing the differences.

if all your cynical self can see is one person trying to promote themselves (despite there being no evidence to back this view) then i both feel sorry for you and feel that you really shouldnt bother posting in the thread as all its going to do is cause arguements.

Ive never met Joe Sackey, never bought anything from him, and aside from a few posts and pm's on this forum ive never spoken to him either - but i do have the good fortune to share an interest with him, one that we can both enjoy together via the medium of the internet.
He has shared a great deal of information that must have taken him a long time and a lot of effort to amass, he does not come across as selfish nor does he promote himself to the detriment of others.
Should he in the future decide to become an F40 guru, facilitate deals for ppl to buy F40's or write a book about them then i wish him the best of luck, and i sit here safe in the knowledge that when my time comes and i can afford a miura, countach or f40 then Joe will without a doubt be happy to help me - as indeed ive seen him do the same for many others.
should that help come in the form of brokering a deal where i find myself becoming the proud owner of said exotica then he would deserve all and any renumeration agreed upon, should it simply be advice i need then he has always given that freely to others too. Its a win win situation for me (and anyone else in a similar situation)

the bottom line sir is that Joe Sackey already has a good name in this community and your attempts to cloud the issue and besmirch that name are frankly apalling, unnecesary and downright rude - so please desist

Read his last post--- an enthuisiast belittling history. Who may I ask is the culprit of bad taste here? Simply grow up and think for yourself. After all He's got a stable of 2 cars-must be of royal decent. It isn't always the Value of the car that is significant. The Iconic heretage often outweighs the $

Why don't we get back to the topic at hand - US or even Euro F40's. I am eager for more info., pics or light hearted banter on experiences in F40's. I say that if you can contribute in that fashion - then contribute. If you cant - don't.

Hey even stuff gleaned from the web is OK :) - if you want to take the time to do it. By the way, why do we look down on stuff researched on the web, its just like a big library. We think going into a library is noble but if you get it on the web - then thats just not cool as anyone can do it. I don't buy into that. We all go somewhere to do research - we aren't just born with all the facts in our head.

BTW - The personal stuff / personal attacks is getting boring and is uncalled for. It is not the reason why we have a forum, quite frankly. So I will propose we set our personal differences aside and continue on.

ah yes the De Tomaso Pantera - a car whose one claim to fame is that a fat, beer swilling, hamburger munching, drug user who wasted his god given talents and who (so rumour says) died on a toilet repeatedly shot his with a handgun on the many many occasions that it refused to start. You must be so proud.
One question for you - how many people see it and ask is it a lambo or ferrari and on hearing it isnt simply walk away ?

actually dont answer that here -maybe you should start a pantera thread, theres even a section on here called "Other Italians" that you could use - But please dont clog up this interesting thread with worthless drivel.

    have a nice day.

Its obvious that you are simply spamming a topic away. There are ways to have discussion about a given car, and I don't see much of that here. If it were the case, you would post far fewer times with far more content per post, and people actually discussing what has been posted.

Most people aren't on this forum are they? The Pantera outdid Lamborghini in design before the Countach was even thought of. Nuff said. How many US F40's are still in the US Joe?

    Dear American Comrades,

The behaviour of one or two of our colonists has been most reprehensible today. But Joe has been terribly patient and for which we must all pay homage to him. Yes, he has become a little miffed on occasions, but generally he has been terribly well behaved under the most nefarious of attacks. Chaos has also been a model of perspicaciousness against a welter of iniquitous attacks and this too should be admired. One or two have consistently lost their tempers and their punctuation, grammar and spelling has been appalling because of it. Joe has pointed this out to them and for which he has received a tirade of abuse. Chaos has made many attempts to ameliorate the situation and he too has become the recipient of curmudgeonly statements riddled with acharnement.

For myself, I have only ever said that I thought a policeman was a 'damned cant' when in fact I meant that they all were and for which I apologise.

    With kind regards,

    512 Tea Are

    Graham,

I apologize (American spelling) that the unruly behaviour of the local Yanks that has caused you to stay up so late. But fear not for we have the situation under control and reinforcements have been summoned. Each attempt has been successfully rebutted and now the mutineers are left with nothing but name-calling and childish behaiour of the type that my young daughter never exhibited during her toddler years.
But, all is not bad for I was able to go for a country drive this morning and that along this state's golden Pacific Coast Highway. I bid you goodnight.

wow i must have jumped into that Pantera thread i suggested you start.
keep on taking the pills, one day everything will be right for you.

nope, i thought i could walk away from this but i really cant.
you think the pantera by that i take it you mean De Tomaso (you know the company that made the car) outdid Lamborghini in design before the Countach was thought of - have you forgotten the masterpeice that was the Miura, a car still widely regarded as the most beautiful ever and one thats universally acclaimed as the first supercar.

we are still off topic, but not as much as you might think.
without the miura and countach there wouldnt be a pantera nor an F40 - the 2 lamborghinis rewrote the exotic car rulebook forever and we are still seeing their dna in todays cars.
to a lesser degree the F40 did the same thing, even today 20 years after its launch its still the car that most modern supercars get compared to.

you cant say that about any De Tomaso - regardless of who owned an example.

can we now try and keep this on the subject at hand - for the record that'd be the F40
