IMHO. NASCAR is about as exciting as watching the same porno flick for the 93d time. Unless you have been undereducated by NEA, and live in Wal-Mart, try road races.

Looks interesting enough but if not marketed as well as NASCAR then it will fail. I don't think there are enough folks interested in the other aspects of motor racing. This site might get a lot of positive responces but if you look at the big picture there is not enough support for this . My 2 cents.

As much as I hate to say this NASCAR = $$$$$$.

Without their advertising power SpeedTV would be no longer on the air. If this channel ever happens it's just a matter of time until TRN becomes another pawn in NASCAR'S massive plan to assimilate as many media opportunities as possible.

    WJHMH is obviously right.

Or, at least he is right in the sense that the media PERCEIVES their audience this way. I cannot believe that there is actually a vast majority of people who really enjoy such garbage as "Pinks", phony bike constructions, or endless round table discussions on who is hot and who is not in NASCAR.

Or, maybe I just don't want to believe that about my fellow American car enthusiasts.

I had speed when I was on Dish network about 5 years ago. The WRC was my favorite. I don't have Speed now with Comcast cable, but I don't want it either. Pinks and Nascar are both pretty boring. Any racing could be more interesting. R/C boats, cars, lawnmower racing, WRC, Indy, F1, SCCA regional all are more appealing to me than NASCAR.

+11, I think we all are painfully away of the mutual audience for these two sad institutions.

I don't mind the races or even the after-race talk, but when Speed decides to make shows dedicated to following Nascar drivers off the track, and at their homes...that's just going too far. I like Jeff Gordon. I don't want to know what the hell he does at his home though.
