I just bought a F430 and it came with the Factory Battery Charger.
How does this hook up? I looked in the boot and don't see an obvious place for the cord.

    Thanks in advance

Open the front bonnet again. Just below the wipers on the right, i.e. opposite the steering wheel you will find a black plastic lid held in place with three screws. Unscrew them by hand, remove the lid and below you will find the charger terminal. It will be covered by a small circular cap.

Welcome to F-Chat and congratulations on your F430. Enjoy her in good health and don't forget to post some pictures of your F430 ;).

    Congrats on the car.

Mine came with the red battery charger too. I kept it plugged in but, for some reason, the battery still went dead. I don't know what the problem was. Maybe I didn't have it plugged in right or something...

In any event, when I sent it to the dealer for the new battery, the guys said that Ferrari has a new battery charger out that they can install directly into the car. It goes in the passenger footwell. I said to install it.

It's been great! You just plug an extension cord into the plug they have in the passenger footwell and plug it into the wall. No box to worry about, and my battery hasn't gone flat as it did with the box either. So, that's something to consider if you use the car intermittently.

Thanks ! I'll take a look on where to plug this in.

The car has been fantastic. Black Berlinetta with Black leather and yellow stitching. Carbon/Ceramic Brakes and carbon fiber engine compartment.
I use the car for fun only, but I have fun in it every day. Life's too short (think Minneapolis) not to.

I got to thinking about the battery charger because it has been raining a lot in Houston lately. And seeing this black beauty sitting in the garage collecting dust had me thinking about keeping the charge level up....especially since it came with the charger! Might as well use it.

My '07 came with battery tender that plugs in under the passenger side dash.
