Guys, I had a dead battery in my 360 F1. I charged it and everything is operating but I cant start the car, because it wont shift into N.

    Any ideas??

    TIA<

Here you go Joe, try jump starting it. From Brian (Rifledriver)

"No resetting of F1 parameters is required. All of the data the car has lost will be relearned automatically upon driving normally with one exception, that being your radio security code. All the required info is hard memory except that which is only learned by operating the vehicle. The easiest way to jump or charge the car is to remove the carpeted panel behind the drivers seat (IIRC 6 phillips head screws). Under that panel you will see in approx center of that area a black box with a red + sign on it. Flip the cover up and hook the red or positive cable there. Next above and to the drivers side of that you will see a gold cadnium plated lug provided for the purpose of hooking a black or negative cable to. Next, turn the key, that's all there is to it. That area is also an exellent place to connect a battery tender so this won't happen again, that is a much better preventative measure than turning off the battery."

After charging a dead battery or turning off and on the battery switch in the trunk, the key must be in the second position for 10 seconds before cranking, otherwise the car won't start. I've gone through this procedure many times myself.

The other thing to try is planting your foot on the brake really really hard, like really really really hard! And try to put it into neutral again, this seems to work for most people that are stuck in gear.

++++1 I happened to remember reading this advice when my car would not come out of gear after parking on an incline at a gathering. Really freaked me for a second until I remembered the post!!!!!!! Man, I love this place.
