In truth, I was originally supposed to sell it to my son but he kinda has PO'd me lately so I sold it to the 'Exotic' car dealer (Marshall Goldman Auto Sales) in Cleveland. He buys all my cars when I think it's time for a change. As far as my son, the dumb ass is doing things I don't like. He just got nailed for doing 100 mph by a Ohio State Trooper... and that's after he already had 2 or 3 previous speeding tickets! He's got a Corvette Z06 and drives it like a jerk! Then to top it all off, he has started motorcycle 'Road Racing' (on a track) on a Suzuki sport bike going speeds of 130-140 mph. He and his just had twin baby girls' a year or so ago and I would think he would realize a 'safety responsibility' to his family. But not him! So I said to myself, "He ain't getting the F430!" Mags p.s. Yeah, you did notice the 05 F430 not being there but you didn't notice the change in the F430 Spiders... now did you? The guy in Cleveland had an 07 F430 Spider with only 187 miles on her so I got 'ants in my pants' for it and worked out a deal trading the 06 Spider back to him for the 07. A few of the reasons I did the trade was the Model year (06 to an 07), plus it had a 'wilder' Daytona interior, plus... it had the stock factory exhaust system instead of the 'TUBI' exhaust system. I was really disappointed by the TUBI system! The factory exhaust system sounds a lot better at slower, normal speeds! Supposedly, TUBI systems sound and work better at higher RPMs, but since I'm not a 'wild and crazy' guy on the roads, I'll get better engine sounds from the factory system! Plus again..... there is a 'slightly' different Radio Stereo sound system.
I hadnt notice indeed. I guess this calls for new pisc . Congratulations to your son . Maybe you should have a few talks with him ? Even if you did already, its worth repeating.

From someone who's raced motorcycles at just about every level: It's probably a lot safer than riding on the street, and a whole bunch safer than driving 100+ on public roads. Generally the worse that occurs are broken bones. I wouldn't worry about him that much, the usual result is that he'll fall of, break something, and he won't be back. The average career span for the amateur racers is about 1 1/2 seasons. If he's got a kid, and he's just starting to race, he's waay too old to make a dent in the sport, so he's probably a very short termer. Art

140mph? He must be on a slower bike, then ... SV650? If it's a Gixxer, you need to sit down with him and explain the purpose of the right handle . If that can make you more comfortable, riding on a track on a bike is reasonably safe. Far more than riding on the roads, for instance. Motocross is still safer than either because of the lower speeds (worst case scenario you break a bone or 2, no biggie). As for driving 100mph on the streets ... especially in a Z06, that's pretty weak. That's what? barely 3rd gear?
What I need to do is sit down with him and explain the meaning of my right hand across his head will do! He's done Motocross and broke a bone in his right arm after another bike came down on top of him! I'm certainly proud of him that he has enough balls to do that stuff and was pretty decent at it but at 31 with a family, I would think there's other ways to get thrills in your life and making sure it's a long one! 100mph on the streets. ... barely 3rd gear? Sounds to me like you're trying to make headlines in your local newspaper! Magwheel
