Is there some one ho hase put later a strip on his 360 Challange Stradale and wath wash the price off it. already thanks.
I know people that have bought an after market stripe from Ferrari and paid almost $1,000 for the stripe. There are other people that manufacture the same thing for about $300. I think if you do a search in this forum you can probably find more info. I assume you want to put the stripe over the paint and not under the clear coat?
You can buy the stripe directly from Ferrari. The part number is 67749200, it can be ordered for (about $600 dollars) £294.29 from Eurospares uk so it wont really break the bank. They can also be purchased (remanufactered) cheaply from ebay; Search on ebay item number 130139048528, this one is $275 Australian dollars (about $235 us dollars)
Please search on here if your interested, its been covered in great detail. A 'factory hand painted stripe', is actually a sticker, with clear laquer on top, all 360cs's use the same part number already stated, the only difference is its clear laquered painted over. This can be done by any ferrari approved bodyshop if you so desire.
Hello guys thanks for the hulp. i hope to buy a 360 cs next week. i go for the ebay offer. when i have the car i will put some picture here. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Here's my 6-speed manual 360 Modena (yes manual) with 360CS stying/weight reduction parts fitted. Exterior has all the cs parts fitted, cf mirrors, bumpers, side skirts, rear engine cover, plexiglass, cs aluminium challenge rear grille, rear diffusers, under tray, fuel filler flap, tri-color stripe, etc. Paint color is Rosso Scuderia. Wheels are 20" Trafficstars split rims. Weight reduction is 150kgs (~330 pounds). Before anyone asks, no this is not an attempt at a replica cs, I wanted a manual 360 with cs looks (including full interior), less weigh and 650hp. This is my project car and the goal is to get to this by summer next year. A 6-speed cs, 50% more power and 15% more track focus than an actual cs. The bias being 35% track, 65% road use. I've known people to use an aftermarket and the only way to tell is to run your hand across it. The factory stripe is below the clear coat.
Well, its become a bit more difficult as many have applied clear coat on a correct aftermarket stripe.
Interior still a work in progress. Actually doing a full swap over, cf seats, dash, door cards, (custom cf centre console for manual 6-speed), weigh reduction, sound-deading and carpets strip-out, etc. All cf from engine bay, basically starting with a full cs parts list except auto f1 box. Note on pic cf panel is 2.28kg, actual weight is 2.34kg but its leaning against wall so weight is slightly off in the pic. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
... Making it identical to factory finish. Actually main dealers are authorized to repair 360cs in this identical way. Had they not had this to fall back on can you imagine how much it would have cost for any small front end damage? Only way to tell for sure is to ask Ferrari Maranello for an options build sheet for the prospective car. This will tell you what options, colors, etc. the car left the factory with.
That's us on Ebay as well, but if you buy it direct from our site we give FChat members 10% discount. Our product has a high gloss clear coat finish and unless you are 6 inches away from it, you couldn't pick it from the original.
Just orderd the stripe by www.f360performanceparts.com the order go's verry smooth. tomorro i am conne by my 360 cs I hope to have the stripe soon i will put pictures here when i have the car. and when the strip is on the car. 12 hours to go!!!!!
Since your about to become the owner of a very special Ferrari you may want to address it properly. Although a derivative of the 360 the correct name is, Challenge Stradale or CS.
