What a wonderful weekend of memories! Scott McClure did a bang up job of organzing, and making all the arrangements run so smoothly. I was duly impressed with the hotel, winery, and meals. The company was even better...I tell ya, the FCA/FOC is the best family around! YOU GUYS (and gals) ROCK!

I'll party and travel anywhere with you all (hey even to Shanghai!!) ;)

    Dave (and Annie too!)

I'd like to also say that Scott McClure and the Canadians did an absolutely FANTASTIC job in organizing this event. An event of this size takes an awful amount of work to make it run as smoothly as it did. Thanks to everyone that put the trip together -- Victoria is a great place to visit, and the crowd were a great bunch of people to hang with for the weekend...

What a nice surprise. I was visiting family in Seattle this past week and took a side trip to Victoria. We walked by the hotel as all your cars were assembling. What a treat! Cars looked great.

Looks like a beautiful event and great weather to boot! My wife and I were planning on coming through after a weekend in Whister but road construction made our trip twice as long as expected.
On a side note, I'd be one worried ferry boat driver!!!

The best way to find out and keep track is through the club newsletter. Months of advanced notice and regular updates. The dates change from year to year.

One thing I learned during this trip, is that if you stay on 101S instead of taking the, ahem, correct exit for 16 .... you will go through some very beautiful country in Washington state and view aquamarine waters (no, seriously) that wouldn't look out-of-place in the Caribbean. You will also find many drivers, often towing travel-trailers or boats, fastidiously maintaining a 55mph speed (and apparently unable to read "slow vehicle turnout" signs) -- usually during long stretches of roads with limited passing opportunities. I also discovered that at 55mph, flipping the left paddle twice and pushing the right pedal to the floor allows the following:
Glorious sound with the top down
Extra-legal speeds to be attained rather shockingly quickly.
Slow vehicles to be dispatched to the rear-view mirror in a very safe fashion.

These discoveries cost me about 2 extra hours (I-5 was as ugly as Rosie O'Donnell just out-of-bed) and another 80 miles or so....

The fastidious maintenance of speed is due to the overzealous law enforcement of the area, even at 6 am in the morning near Forks (last year). :p:p

Your descriptive writing warrants a travel guide for the local exotic car driver.

Ah, that information might've been useful prior to Sunday LOL! I was like a lamb to the slaughter, defenseless (not even a V1 to come to my rescue!).... but thankfully the car Gods smiled upon me -- I don't recall seeing one revenue-generation unit on that part of the road. And, for the public record, I obey all posted speed-limits at all times :D

That reminds me, I need to buy another V1 to replace the one that went with my old 308. Love those V1's

    Hi Everyone,

I was just browsing your pictures...what a great turnout you had and the pictures are wonderful. However I am a little curious...is that really a Yellow 288 GTO? I've never seen one other than Red. If so, are there any more pics of that car?

    It's not a real 288. It's a modified 308 with a hopped up engine. Very nice car.
It was for sale a while back as I recall.

Scott did a great job serving this one up with style! Kate and I had a wonderful time making friends, and putting faces to names. For those of you who didn't partake of the spirited drives, you really missed some fun times - especially on the drive back to Victoria with almost no traffic through some great roads with names that almost sound like they're from another country :)

Thank you all for the great camaraderie. I look forward to the next outing!

These are my photos, far too many to place in one post here so I've loaded them into a slideshow.

This turned out to be a wonderful event because of all the people. Thanks again for the Canadians who went to extra effort to make this such a fun time and the American participants who enjoy their socializing (OK, some were caught sleeping on the Ferry...;)
It was a great time to renew old friendships and make new ones.

Many stayed an extra day for the Symphony Splash and it was a spectacular festival with great sound quality and fireworks at the end.
