I have to admit to being a little disappointed on the numbers front, and i dont see many other rare cars either (that im aware of) in attendance.Though i am looking forward to it and hopefully meeting some of you guys!
Joe, Don't throw in the towel just yet. I was going to take my F car but if you bring your CT I will bring mine Maybe we can add some more that way!!!
Sounds like a good plan to me. You have some great cars Steve, but I doubt if another red Fcar at Concorso would be missed. I expect more Countachs will make the trip and it will be a great show.
Remember, in 2000 it was still at Quail Lodge, can't beat that place. Easy in, easy out for the cars, nothing like Black Horse. and a nice level area to show the cars (again, Quail). Not a big fan of curbed cart paths! (Black Horse) Still never had any of the Diablos out there (again, Black Horse). Maybe someday. -J
I think more will show up than on the Concorso list. When registering you have the option of not having your info displayed. I know Dee and Gary are bringing thier car and I am sure ther are others as well. I always did like Quail better but Black Horse will be fine. It has gotten better every year.
I have a FABULOUS Countach LP400 'Periscopa' just come available. Red/tan. Perfect. Hasnt been seen for years. Serious principals e-mail me at [email protected]. Joe www.joesackey.com

I will be getting images of all aspects of the car (& details) by this weekend and will forward them. Joe www.joesackey.com
I came across these photos and thought they may be of interest. They were taken at a Ferrari Club track day in 1982. No details on the cars unfortunately. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Do you guys know anything about this car and exactly what modifications it underwent? The performance figures have always bewildered me... to the point that I was doubting them. Old ad - 1996. Image Unavailable, Please Login
That advertisement is total b.s. 0-60 time of 1.9 seconds with a 700bhp motor on pump gas !! Even if it turned 700 horses at the rear wheel (very doubtful), it would not run a 0-60 time of 1.9. 350K spent on modifications ? Monopoly money ? Most likely, he cannot come close to the bikes he claims to beat.
The ad is from Oregon. 0-60 is usually in miles. He would at least need the 1.9 figure, to crush the crotch rockets. (lol) He did talk about mph, when talking about bike beating performance. When it is KM, it is usually 0-100....AKA 0-62mph.
The dark green metallic car is one-and-the-same as featured in the May 1980 issue of Modern Motor and it is in fact the second LP400S built for Australia. The interior is dark brown (Testa Di Moro) with gold wheels and was imported into Australia by the Lamborghini concessionaire Roadmobiles Pty Ltd of Melbourne. It the only Countach built in that livery. Roadmobiles sold it for $160,000 AUS. In 1983 Peter Robinson drove it in an epic article for Wheels magazine that featured the first LP500S imported into Australia. Joe www.joesackey.com
Fantastic bit of news today! (although i expect Joe was already aware of this?) A very special Countach will be present at the Concorso and i for one am thrilled at the prospect of seeing her!! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yes this should make it all worthwhile by itself I suppose we can say we can say the goal has been met... not easy to get them to bring it, but in the end, cajoling, begging, sulking and more begging can pay off. Joe www.joesackey.com
My sincerest thanks to you and all who begged, thanks for keeping an eye out for us Countach folks. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Very cool news! Would you have Valentino Balboni sign your Countach glove box (or what other part of your car) if he is in attendance? Did he test drive every Countach? Brian
Glovebox door. Certainly every LP400 and LP400S. And dont forget to get an image of your Countach with the LP400 prototype... Joe www.joesackey.com
