I did a search but can't find the info I need.

I need new power window switches for my 83 Mondial QV as the existing "Torrix BteDGSG" model switches have broken. These are the ones that sit on the centre console.

    They seem impossible to find.

Are they shared by any other car? Fiat? Alfa? DeLorean? Like the 308 Switches were shared by '83-'84 Alfa GTV?

Can anyone suggest where I might get these?

    Cheers

Not sure how you determined they were broken, but all of the center console switched do not work occasionally due to a light layer of contact surface oxidation.

What I have done in the past with the switches in place:
    1. d/c the battery
    2. spray Radio Shack electrical terminal cleaner spray inside and around the switch
    3. cycle the switch 100x to clean the contact surfaces
    4. let dry 2 hours
    5. reconnect battery

And they're good to go until next time.

With yours, You can do the same with them out (I admire you for doing that as I know how tough that is) and try plugging them back in (after they dry!) to see if this could save you a bit.

Best of luck! We've all been there....

NitrousF - do you have any side shots of these as they look different from mine.

Snj5 - On mine, the metal spring undr the rear side of the rocker switch had broken. I only foundthis when I opened one to see how they worked and if I could re-shape the spring connection to give the switch contact for the window "up 'side. It is a pain getting to them though....

Thanks for your input. NF - if yours look likethey will fit I will PM you for them.

    NF,

Do you know if the female of the Torrix witch is the same as the female on your Ansor switches?

How much are you asking for the two?

on the older ones or at least the ones on the M8 they are plastic with a tin trim that can be removed, once removed you can dis-assembly the switch and clean it real good. did mine last yr and fixed the switches, now if it was only as easy for the fuse/relay board.

I had a switch leftover from an Alfa spider that worked for one of my rear windows. The markings(arrows) were different. I used the old one to replace a bad glovebox switch!
