I have a question regarding my front windshield. My material for my dash hasn't arrived yet and I'm at a point where I could put the rear windscreen in as I have finished the leather surrounding it. Can I put the front windshield in before the dash?

You can definitely put the windshield in before the dash and in fact, you should. Installing the glass requires some goupy products which could drip on the dash if it was already in place. Furthermore, when the string they use to set the gasket gets pulled, having access to the very bottom of the window inside the car will make it easier to position the gasket and adjust the lip.

Slipping in the dash with the windshield in place was a piece of cake.

The car is looking beautiful - keep up the great work

Well put Steve. I agree, the installation of the rear windshield is hard to watch let alone do yourself. Jon, while I know you are skilled and fearless, I strongly recommend that you sub out that part of the restoration. Installing all of the other windows is something I did myself but the front and rear windshields took a couple of pros, one wasted gasket, some specialty tools to get the job done right.

That's nice. A 308 is different. You have to remove the glass to take out the dashboard is my understanding...

No, you don't have to remove the glass. But I have seen it where someone used too much sealer when replacing a windshield thus gluing the dash material to the glass.
