    I'm trying to find a red/tan, yellow/black, low (relatively speaking) miles car that has had its work done properly and has the documents to prove it. Oh, it MUST be a manual. I know I'll get flamed for that comment, but it's a deal killer. There is a non-Ferrari dealership in Scottsdale that is not an option.

    I can move very fast on the right car. So far I've come across some pretty deceptive sales guys which has really disappointed me, and some pretty poorly cared for cars. I'm not looking for a new car, just something cared for. Please email me if you know of a 99-02 at a reasonable price (there are pie in the sky cars out there-not for me).

    I'm not interested in any other colors at this time. Thanks~

    Give Jim Lyons a call at Sports Car Company in San Diego. He goes through 360s like Ford dealers go through F150s and has contacts across the country. Seriously, I think he has 25 360s for sale now and finds the modern cars pretty readily.

    I spoke with them earlier this evening. I'm awaiting their review of the documents and a call back. They told me the knobs were pretty chewed up and the seat was worn, but I'll withhold judgement until I see the closer photos. Thanks for the carfax. I need to sign-up for the service.     The knobs are an easy (free) fix and can be used to drive a bargain for the car. The worn seat on the other hand is a little more difficult.

    The price quote I received from a F dealer for a car they had on their lot was: (appx) $300 for window up switch, $400 for door lever, etc...Stereo knobs will probably cost as well. I was told $2k for all the knobs and switches. I'd rather just find a car with some of them worn not too badly. Ray Johns took some pics of his 01, and they looked almost brand new. I don't mind some wear, but as Ray said regarding one car I was considering, it looked like a monkey had been driving the car. I like monkeys, but I don't want him as a previous owner. Agreed, bargain, bargain!

    If you change your mind on colors, let me know. Mine is a very nice car with all service up to date and no "stories". I also don't know how it works in TX, but in AZ, if you buy a car from a private party rather than a dealer, you pay no sales tax. That alone could save you thousands of dollars.

    Your car is fantastic, no doubt. My preference is red, then yellow.

    BAD NEWS IN TEXAS...

    You pay 6.25% on the purchase price of any vehicle. Well, many people were buying cars for $10,000 when the fair market value was $120k. So, the Texas legislature figured out a way to make some more money for the state coffers. Pass judgement on FMV based on Kelly Blue Book. So, no matter what you buy you must pay the tax on the FMV of the car. I believe taxing used cars is criminal. Taxes were already paid when it was new collecting taxes amounts to nothing less than double taxation. I bought a new Lexus for my mom for Christmas and I can't officially give it to her (title wise) because she and I will be taxed for it. So, it is hers as long as she wants it, but it remains titled in my name. Congratulations Texas for passing the most retarded law ever.
