The birds are panting. no lie. On the bird feeder, the birds are all mouth breathing, never seen that before. Titmice, house finches, cardinals, goldfinches; they are all panting like dogs!
Heck, Tejas ain't got a thing on the middle east.... The really hot days are over 120 which isn't that bad because it usually means the humidity is in the single digits, with a little breeze the sweat evaporates almost instantly. The really sucky days are when it's only 105 but with stifling humid air coming in off the gulf, it doesn't take long to saturate a flight suit. It gets almost chilly at night when the sun goes down and the temp dips into the low 90s
