I'm just throwing this out there as purely hypothetical. Would it be possible to get an Enzo completely repainted? Would the carbon fiber get in the way of this? I don't know what challenges it would present to body work. What would the process be?

I do believe on of the Enzo owner's on this board was having his repainted. We'll see if he chimes in.

Unfortunately, he has not been on Fchat for a while now. He has been too busy, I do not think anyone knows how that Enzo is coming along. :):)

But.......the Enzo can be repainted, thats for sure. :):)

Speaking of... does anyone know how many Enzos have been voluntarily repainted and not just because of a wreck?

Given that the black cars are trading at a premium much higher than the cost of re-painting
    What is the main issue?

Does he have plans of returning?

I was thinking more for painting a red Enzo to a dark silver/gray or black.

Those are my plans in the future. Just buy a red one and send it to Ferrari to be painted black. It has to be cheaper than $300,000 that way but first I must save a bit more ;).

    Hi,

It would be no problem to repaint the car, it has nothing special apart from the correct primer/surfacer applied to it at stage one. The paint materials are just normal refinish products.

The Enzo was not painted in the Ferrari factory, they were painted at a bodyshop just a short walk from the factory!!

    Regards,
    Phil.

Both him and yellowenzo123 were planning on a respray in, IIRC, matte black. However, one of them owned one of the only yellow/tan enzos in existence and didn't want to spray over such a rare color combo and was in the process of selling it. There's a great thread on this if you use the search. Worth the read, and there's some very evil looking photo shops, too. :)

IT was yellowenzo who had the tan interior. He did sell it, and I believe he did get the red one for his project.

That is definately a wrap. If you look at the gap in the bumper you can see red paint along with the bottom of the front bumper. It still looks hot.
