I was given his name by a Porsche friend Bob Varella Deerfield Beach
Up north I can tell you the best shop is probably Karrera Motorsports, Roger will take good care of you 561-832-4840 or 561-723-3816 (one is his cell, can't remember which one) Down south check out NGT Motorsports around the corner from me. Rames is a racer and they are performance driven but can probably do some regular work as well. 305-893-1950
Runs Foreign Affairs shop near my office, and services Porsche, BMW and others. He's been a long-time member/participant in BMW CCA and PBOC events, does race prep as well as general vehicle services. I've only used them once, but was pleased with the treatment and service quality.
Anyone know what happened to Roger Martinez and Karrera Motorsports? I painted a helmet for him, and it's been sitting here for more than a month... no replies to emails, business numbers are no longer in service, cell number voicemailbox is full, website no longer functional either!
For BMW work, consider Redline Performance in Pompano; they're on NE 48th St just East of Dixie Highway and a couple of doors away from Minspeed. Rennie Bryant runs Redline - he's another longtime SCCA / PBOC / etc. member and racer.
That doesn't appear to be his number... if you meant 561-723-3816 (with an 8 instead of a 9) that's his cell... and it reports "voice mailbox full"... I'm hoping he's ok!
Mike: BTW we are getting ready to get a new helmet designed for the 08 season. Gaby will be on the case in a few weeks. So there will be one coming your way soon. PM me your delivery address so I can have the helmet shipped to you direct instead of through me. to Everyone that wants a cool helmet painted, Mike is the man. Picture of the helmet Gaby and her company seven-G.net designed and Mike here painted Image Unavailable, Please Login
oups, yes that is his number. 8 is correct. I talked to him a few days ago and he was in the midst of opening a new shop. Give him a few days. Hey, you got the helmet
To see more views of Martin's helmet, it's #5 in the first Gallery at www.helmet-painting.com -- that's all paint... no decals. Yeah, but his paintjob is GREEN and pretty specific to Roger! You can see it in Gallery #3, helmet sample #85. Anyway, glad he's ok. If you talk to him again, please ask him to give me a call. Look for a PM regarding getting your new helmet to me.
I know they do DINAN, but anything else on newer models it was difficult to get co-operation on. Rennie is EXTREMELY friendly and very knowledge able. If I am not mistaken he is / was the pres of PBOC. .m
for a Porsche mechanic.......call Ryan Noble at 561-743-6441 or PM to me for his cell number. He knows his stuff and has a large air conditioned, secured facility in Jupiter.
Instead of creating a new thread, I thought I would hijack this one for a minute...it's somewhat related, though...my uncle is looking for a good BMW mechanic in the Palm Beaches for his girlfriend's Z3. I know there was a mechanic in West Palm Beach (in the area of Wilkens Ave ... off Australian somewhere) that worked on Mercedes and Porsches. I would think if you are a good Porsche mechanic, you would be good on BMWs too...any suggestions or are the above mechanics recommended for BMWs too?
Paulie, is this the guy next to Rosso Corsa? If so, I hope the proximity to Rosso Corsa hasn't tainted his abilities.
If it is just maintenace you can do Foreign Affairs Auto or Avid Autosports. Both have websites. Though really if he just stuck / sticks to the Schedule 1 + 2 then the car would be in good shape. Avoid just fixing "what's wrong" and stick that maintenace program. BMW definately is not an inexpensive choice when it comes to these things. I would push him towards getting his GF into something Japanese. .m
cost me $400+ but that was a two years back and Gaby did the design for me. I should mention that is fairly inexpensive since I heard $1000 from a guy the other day...he fainted when I told him about Mike A helmet is as personal as it can get. I mean this is the entire identity of a racer. Just ask Robert M
