Strange behavior...................................

I don't know if this has happened to you guys at all, but today some shabby suv came driving down our street and after they turned around, someone rolled down the windows and gave me the middle one. This happened while I was mowing our lawn. I was thinking, "Do I even know you?" Then, "If you don't like this place, why the F*** did you come here?" And it's not just this time. Our cul de sac sees probably hundreds of cars that come in, stop and the people just gawk at you for extended periods of time. It is very annoying when your doing yard work. I am so irritated also that people for some reason love to throw wrappers and beer cans on our lawn for no apparent reason. So that means, a dude bought some budlight at a gas station,drank it, then drove into the countryside, all the way into the end of our cul de sace, then threw it on our lawn. This happens alot and it did not happen in our smaller suburban house. What is the point of all this? I am not a person with prejudice, but sometimes the red necks here in Tennessee get to me. I can understand if someone is lost, or if they are just browsing for homes, but this is way over the line. I can't wait until we could perhaps have a gate built to stop this. Our house is somewhat nicer than the average, but I can't believe all the BS my family has to put up with. I just wanted to share that with you guys. Anyone have a similar experience?

 

is your house pretty big? i know my parents (and occasionally myself too) like to drive down into the very affluent subdivisions just to see the houses. i honestly don't have a reason for some idiot throwing trash onto your yard, but i think that it's not uncommon for people to enjoy driving down and gawking at houses.

 

our house is about 5500-6500 square feet? Yes, i don't seem to mind people looking around, but I seem to sense that our house draws out some negativaty from some people that I used to know.

 

aah, so possibly their jealous. wouldn't surprise me. just remember: some people don't grow up.

 

Yeah, people are jealous sometimes, like kids from my school that didnt like me just because my family was more fotunate than theirs and We exchanged some words and I told time to call me ricky schroter. etc..... soo basicly they found my adress and blew up our porta potty that was across my street that belonged to us for the construction workers that are expanding our garage and building our new one.

 

sounds like old fashioned jealousy. I grew up in an 8000 sq ft home and random stuff would happen to our house like paintball shootings, garbage can thieves, and trash thrown on the lawn.

 

I was going to put some skirting around my mobile home tomorrow. I guess I will just leave it now.

 

is your community gated? if not that might be a thought. ask the other neighbors if they're having similar problems. if so you may be able to install a gate. or perhaps a private security service cruising the area may be a deterrent.

 

Get their freaking License Plate number and report it. And if the police get numerous report from you and/or from your neighbors, the police will make the extra initiative to cruise or patrol your area more often.

 

Yeah, I hear ya. I have a decent sized house in a cul-de-sac and you get these random people driving through sometimes, staring at you, throwing things on to the lawn. That and my finace was almost kidnapped during her morning run a few blocks away last week...the cops are around here a lot now. I think it's a sign of the times...

Michael sorry to hear of your problems. I went to MTSU there in Murfreesboro and always thought I would one day move back there. I loved that town. People used to be extremely nice. I hope as Murfreesboro continues to grow it does not attract to many people like you are talking about. Next time I come down there maybe I can take you to Toot's for some wings

Im sure someone like you who shoots off their mouth about someone elses succuses to make yourself look better have annoyed plenty of people, non the least Ferrari owners here.

I haven't been banned, have a lot of posts. Will it ever register in your head that your behavior is obnoxious and pathetic? Here or in real life, you come off as a brat with no social skills whatsoever.
