During 60th celebration in Maranello. The F2001 belongs to a very nice American owner (he had around 10 Ferraris including F2001 and F2004). He was very nice and allowed children to sit in his world champion car. The kind of Ferrari owner you are very happy to meet .. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanx for uploading it for me Pap. too bad i don't own a Ferrari yet to put him in it p/s : like Lamour says, Pap's a good man
We have a foundation in Poland similar to the Make a Wish Foundation which tries and makes dreams come true for kids who are terminally ill or have an uncurable disability. The kids are usually from poor families and most want laptops, cell phones or trips to places like Eurodisney. 9 year old Michal is on a wheelchair and can't move his legs. His dream was to have a ride in a Ferrari. So yesterday during a classic car mag track day at the Tor Kielce race track about 100 miles south of Warsaw he got his dream (and a load of Ferrari branded gear). Unfortunately when we did the track lap it started raining and this is one of the most slippery tracks ever so we didn't go too fast. He loved the doughnuts at the end of the track though and really wanted his mom to see one in the parking lot. A true tifosi . Big thanks to Classic Auto mag for letting us on the track between the time trials and kudos to the 3 volunteers from the foundation who picked up Michal from his home and arranged the whole day for him and his family. This is the link to the English page of the foundation and if by chance you would like to donate they have a secure credit card facility (in Polish zloty, FX rate is about 2.8 zloty/$1). http://www.mammarzenie.org/info_english.php And to stay on topic. Very nice thread. This kid could have one of his dream come true. I am sure he will keep a very good memory of this day. PS : I saw your 328 in Maranello on the track, with its too small flags. Denis
You mean 2 right? I actually got those when Kubica hit podium in Monza last year. The car was really filthy on Saturday but we managed to wash the cars on Sunday morning so on the Sunday it was much more presentable. Image Unavailable, Please Login
