Roadholding is better & firmer, goes round corners as if on rails while the rebound is more immediate. Anyway 10mm is the max my front can go, factory issued Konis & Eibach, got the part nos as well. Car looks more devilish with the lowered arches too! I've bandaged 1000deg. heatwrap around the muffler pipes & sticked a reflective sheet above tailpipe to make the engine cooler & best of all got a free Carbon fibre license plate that withstands the heat!
awesome weather today at 8am, looked like a storm coming in, but cleared out, nice westerlies blowing in...what used to carry the haze in, now comes in clean..

howdy, just back. yalor, typhoon actually blew past HK on monday and made a u-turn!!! shops were mostly close, lan kwai fong area also mostly closed, bar a few pubs. had to stay in mostly. wasted my limited youth.

Thanks. Just got back from a short holiday over the weekend and wow, lost of new postings. you guys are pretty active, which is nice. Found out about F-chat by chance. did a google. Just got a modena a few months back. are you guys active with the club? Attended the Hungarian race viewing at Thumper organized by F-club, a few people turned up, so wondering if there is more activities organized outside of the club? do you guys do repairs and servicing at Hong Seh? do you know of good 'unofficial' mechanics for simple repairs? think i got a lemon, lots of problems, was too trusting, bought the car without even a test drive. thinking of switching to a gallardo. heard it's more reliable. SFchallenge, you drive a murcie? how is it? i love the scissors doors, but some people say it takes lots of skill to drive and rear view is limited - but doors just make it so desirable.
Haha, sounds like a familiar situation. I often buy without a PPI, some turn out good some bad. What's the problems you have & what did the workshop say? Visit the tech section or post/read your problems under 360/430 section & you'll find a lot of helpful info there. Anyway, congrats on owning a Ferrari. Problems are part of the fun in owning an Italian car, still So far, never heard of major problems with Gallardo but of course every make has some lemons. It's a ratio thing. We can drive anything, it's a choice & some guys drive trailers everyday. Believe me, those containers aren't easy to reverse! The rear-view & blindspots are much better than a Gallardo IMO. I'm known to take mine almost everywhere esp down basement carparks, again it's not skill but practice. I think it's easy to drive if you see what I had before, those can be a pain at times. The doors, nice they are but it's totally handbuilt in Italy, so I hear a lot of leather creeking sound everytime the car goes over humps as fitment is not as good & there's little space for keeping things in the cabin. Otherwise, it's probably the best sensible supercar $ can buy here.

howdy me like you, also got F360. luckily, no problems so far(touch wood or more like carbon fibre) only problem is my stupid remote control...change battery liao,. still sometimes no reception. what sort of problems are you getting?? service car at HS currently. K
Hi Edward, welcome to Fchat and the Ferrari Club. The Ferrari Owners club of Singapore is exactly that...U have to be an owner to be in the club. Unfortunately, the club has slowed down its activities over the years due to many factors. However, Royston the Club's "activities" member has been trying to drum up activities and events for members. In the late 90s and early 2000s, drives to KL, Awana, Genting and Penang were often organised. The problem is that the profile of existing members have also changed. Many members now have families and many members have other priorities. With the new generation of owners such as yourself, Tiong, The Avantgarde brothers, etc. I am very confident that the club will once again raise to its glorious past. For this to happen there will be need for a change in club leadership and structure (this is my opinion). So it is up to us (members) to step up and take the initiative and serve in the club. From what I see amongst the "young", new and lau cheow Ferrari owners I believe the club has enough bodies and enthusiasm to make it a "happening" club. Just my two cents
"Sh*t happens!" It happened to me when I first got my Testarossa. The first 3mths was a nightmare. Car dies on the road... car dies in the middle of the road... did I mention the car died on me??? A couple of things on repairs and maintanance based on my experience. DO NOT CUT CORNERS!! Incident one: NS highway 1998... Testa loses clutch due to incorrect oil used by previous owner...the oil viscosity broke down due to the heat. Imagine driving at over 200kmh and suddenly no clutch. Incident two: Aircon didn't work properly, so i went to a third party and got a new compressor unfortunately, the problem kept recurring and the car kept breaking down. The car kept short circuiting and the car just kept dying... battary also kept dying. Incident three: Used a 3rd party alternator... not powerful enough... battery kept dying. Car died again. I am not selling HSM here...but they know their job. I sent the car in and they rectified all the problems. I never really had a single problem for the next 3 years. But I always did send the car in regularly for servicing and also once the famous "drop engine" service. The problem with sending the car outside is 1. parts, if the outside workshop needs to get parts from HSM.. HSM will charge a 30% premium on the parts. 2. Knowledge.. .do they know what they are doing? Its just peace of mind when u drive at 200+kmh. My personal view is always send the car back to the agent to get the car fixed or serviced. I have learned my lesson the hard way.
Happened to me as well! Was happily chasing an F430 & then.....Not a good experience to find out that you can't change gears some 200kms away from home..... Same problem with my F348 but it's the starter & aircon. Two years after I sold it, Ben told me it's a simple relay they can modify few days ago! I knew about that relay from Fchat & told that to my mechanics but nobody seems to be able to fix it. durrrr But I must say they always sold me parts @ "proper" prices as I buy them over the counter myself. I did my beltjobs outside, not that I didn't want to give them the business but they were always too busy to slot me in & mind you I spent more than S$10K on the drop engine for my TR alone. Lastly, yes when you're doing in excess of 200km/h you'll want to know that the car won't fall apart because it's ill maintained. Even simple thing like the correct torque of the wheel nuts & the correct brake fluid.
