    Finally! My MY08 G arrived at the dealership an hour ago! :)

    SVAG, Los Gatos are detailing the car - will pick it up at noon tomorrow. Had done all the DMV stuff in advance as I had to go abroad in a hurry - so its officially mine!

    I promise a lot of pics, but I need to drive it first! :)

    What stuff should I look out for when I examine it prior to taking delivery? My concern is that it sat at the port (San Diego) for about a week before it was delivered to the dealership - or should I be concerned at all?

    Don't be concerned. Just check it over for body damage and any missing OEM items........owners manual, etc.

    Color / Options - Nero Serapis (Black Metallic) with Bi-color elegant interior (Tan+Black), e-gear (jury is out on this one :) ), Nav, Silver Callisto wheels, yellow calipers, coming home function

    Looks awesome, Rotus. Now you can join us for the August drive! Just one query; I thought that almost all of the '06s and up had a clear engine bonnet. Was that an option?

    Yup, the clear engine bonnet was an option. I just felt that the (standard) louvered look looked better with my color combination and at about $4K less :)

    I quite like the standard exhaust at this point - it really opens up after about 4K rpm - I believe they tweaked it for MY06 and up

    Very Nice. I like the solid engine cover myself...saved you some money and you dont have to worry about detailing the engine all the time! :)
