    you might consider university ave in palo alto, or just bite the bullet (baby bullet @ caltrain.com) and show up in San Francisco. That is a real city. Santa Clara has a lot of office parks and historic garages, but it is not the metropolitan center of anything fun...

    There's a iskyfly in Fremont or Hayward area. Pickup a Wave or Metro newspaper or I'll get one for you and you can see some choices to fit your fancy. ;)

    That will be great, If I can find some time I would like to meet a few other "enthusiasts". Still looking into the diving situation, would love to film some great whites but not sure about local diving laws and such.

    You may look into concert at Shoreline theatre in Mt View. Downtown Mt View and Palo Alto are popular areas to hang out a little. There are some OK golf courses in the area.

    For night life, go to SF.
