After waiting for nearly a year for a 'good' 360, I found not one but TWO cars in very good condition:

Both cars are 2003, have 10,000 miles on the odo. Both require a major (belt) service.

    A yellow/black modena and a red/tan spider.

I know that some of you can tell a lot from a picture or two, so I posted a few pics to get your initial impressions.

BTW, the red spider has a 28% premium over the yellow modena. I'm worried about using a convertible in a hot, sunny, humid and very dusty environment.

Also, I'm worried that racing seats are too low for me (my height is 5'4").

The 360 will be used on weekends (I have a daily driver).

Any thoughts are highly appreciated. I need to make a choice this week (I'm paying 100% cash - ouch).

    Thank you for your help.

I am a coupe guy, but I don't like yellow Ferraris.

I'd go with the spider, better color and easier to hear the engine.

Well, I prefer Red/Tan. But I do not care for the convertible, I just purchased my 360, it has the racing seats. I LOVE them, I am about 5'6" or so and it took me a little while to adjust them, but once I did, I don't think I could ever go back.

My thoughts on the sport seats. I purchased a pair of sport seats for my last 360 due to the fact that I sat too high with the Daytona's. I'm 6'1 1/2" and I think you'll sit a little bit too low with the sport seats. Just my .02.

Not much point in having a spyder if you can't or don't want to use it. Keep looking there are lots of 360s around.

The weather is absolutely terrible. 9 months of heat, very dusty during summer (with the occasional sand storm). But 2-3 months are perfect for top down driving (december to february).

The mosquitos are quite vicious as well during winter.

Buy the Coupe and make sure the A/C is charged up, but don't necessarily buy the yellow car.

Hey... these are good problems to have!! How to pick between two great cars.

Personally, I think the yellow coupe has too much yellow. Yellow is great on a Spider as it's broken up a bit.

The red Spider, only you know if you'll use it in your region. Out here in California, you don't see many Spiders with their tops up, ever.

Good luck and please let us know what you decide to do.

    Best,

    Frank

Those Spiders have tops? Wow! I agree the Modena in yellow is a lot of yellow. I love it on a Spider though, super-hot looking. Buy the red one if you can manage to keep the top down most of the time. I have a Modena with a sunroof (rare) which I've only taken out once because I must confess that I like having the A/C on those hot summer days. Once the fall comes, I expect to take out the sunroof more often.

Do the spider, have a 360 and wish I did it in a spyder.. I took the 430 in spyder and love it.. As a weekend car the spyder is the only way to go and it's a great color combo.. Good luck and either way you are ending up with a great car ... Congrats !!!!!!

I actually find the yellow Coupe stunning , although I would go for a black/black interior.
    Never been fan of spiders...
    Good Luck!

Thank you Palmer. I would always choose the Spider over the coupe on the Ferrari, because they are made so well, you can hardly tell it is a topless car!

If I have reached my goal of being in a financial position to own a Ferrari I would allready own a Spider. IMO there are very few convertibles that come close to competing with a Ferrari Modena Spider, and the one you are looking at looks like its in great shape.

Second, I am not a big fan of yellow.
