This week's issue of Autoweek includes an article by Keith Martin on a series 2 PF coupe that sold in Feb at Christie's in London for $152k USD. Martin describes the car as being in pretty good condition. Is this the same car shown in post #825 above? The paint color is the same in both and both are series 2 cars.

    No, the Christie's car was s/n 1617 (red/black), this car is 1645 (red/tan).

Any easy 250 PF projects, and or tired drivers forsale ? I am looking for a project where everything is together and complete (minor floor rust and or non - working motor would be ok).

A friend called this evening to inform me that the latest (June) issue of SCM has an article on 250 Pf coupes. I do not subscribe to the magazine. Has anybody on here seen it yet?

Haven't received my copy yet but the cover makes a reference to the PF coupe (1617 GT) that sold at Christie's Retromobile in February for $152K. Probably includes at least a profile page on this car.

    Hi

Im being offered a 1962 250PF Coupe in perfect original conditions with only 60,000km from new, never restored and with great ownership history, the only non original thing is that the top has been repainted in blue other than that everything else is perfect.

How much do you think this car is worth?

    Thanks

To give you a frame of reference my 250 PF Coupe is is a Cavallino award winner with 40k km on it, original condition and I would sell mine for $250k. That is the top end listed in Cavalino magazine. Too far below $250k I would hold on to it and see where the market goes. Not too many trade hands and the cars are so different in condition I think there will be a wide price variance between cars. Hope this helps.

For everyone's information there will be a great 250 coupe on the lawn at Pebble Beach this Sunday. It is owned by Mike Manion from Portland and has been re-done to the highest standards. It's about the best I've ever seen.

Concerning # 1017GT and Agnelli; Boudejwin message # 733: the show picture is when the car is still with PininFarina.
When 1017 was delivered to Agnelli, it had some modifications: no bumperettes on front bumper, no rear bumper at all, just 2 large bumperettes, aluminium band wrapped around the body starting from the bottom line up to the door. The wheels were exchanged for chromed-ones and the paint scheme was changed to plain marroon.
I enjoyed very much this thread which I am really re-discovering. Sorry to be late.

Mike Manion's car is a beauty, thanks for posting the two photos. Our car (which is s.n. 1747) does not have the hood scoop, but everything else in the front looks the same. I like the Roma license plate, very nice touch, we have a bare front bumper. Our car has one-color red tail lights and a license plate holder that is square, so the Oregon state plate does not fit into it. Everything else in the rear looks the same. The light grey or silver paint is spectacular, ours is a shade darker and not metallic, which we also like. I had no idea that there was another 250 PF coupe in Oregon, so thanks again. Very nice.

It will need to be exceptional to make that money.

I am ware of 3 private PF Coupe sales in the past 6 months. None of them have made $200k. This car might be spectacular and buck the trend but PF Coupes get talked up at big money but strangely there is a VERY VERY limited buying audience.

All this is first hand experience having just sold my car. I think the cars are worth $200k all day long but it seems the market doesn't.

I have a 250PF coupe coming up for sale that I am sure I can pull over $250,000 out of. I will be shooting it for my website in the next few days, needs the rear springs re-arched but has a fresh motor and a different rear axle ratio for easier cruising.
If a Boano went for near $600,000 last year at Monterrey auction LAST YEAR, looks like the better made and prettier PF should be valued a little higher

Yeah, but the boano is a lot more rare.

It seems like they wouldn't be worth any more than a pf based on design and usability, but they sure are.

Thats a bit of a stretch. The Boano cars are fabulous and the PF will never catch up to them. I wish they would but it will never happen.
