Greg328 is gonna throw down........ Lady Valeria and John Henry are game...... Speedy308 is bringing Lil' Bull and Amanda. The place out on Highway 6 between I 10 and 529, in the old Kmart...IIRC it's Stand 21 or something... Greg328 has the details.... Helmet, Nomex....money..... That's all you need.
It's called Track 21. http://www.track21.info/ What time? I work until 4pm, not far from the track. Say 4:30-5PM? My power-to-weight ratio is not so hot (225#) even though the track employees are always quick to point out the huge guy w/ the track record... Greg
I sure wish we still had a indoor kart track up here, Houston has some excellent courses. Be on the lookout for Jeremy L, he will school you on how it's done.
Sean F. and all the boys? Who else??? Greg328 what is the age limit or height requirements??? *measuring Amanda* I am not afraid of Jeremey, that's why we HIRED him 'way back when' though, Will!!!! We took two trophy's home that weekend.... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks I'll check it out.... Nero328 and Natasha? Sean F.???? Jeremey??? Who else? Are open face helmets OK?
They have a bunch of helmets on a rack to borrow, for free.. Not sure about open-face versus other types, though.. Probably need to have a visor... Greg
No suit necessary. I think they require long pants. Go to the website listed above for details--I'm not sure.. Hope to see you all there. Have we agreed on a time yet? Greg
I doubt we can get out there much before 6PM, brudda, with work and traffic..... Scott Amanda myself and Valeria all have full face and Troy Lee graphics, but I was gonna let John use an older open face with full visor, if OK...... As you see above, I have a suit!
6pm will be OK. We'll beat the crowds the earlier we get there, because Monday is the bargain day... Greg
Not sure, but the later it gets, no doubt the crowds will increase.. We'll still get our 3 runs for $30 in, but the track may be a bit more crowded. Honestly, I've never been there when it's totally packed, don't think it really ever is.. FWIW! Greg
Probably around 6pm. BigTex and his crew can't get there until then. I can be there @ 4:30pm, but I'll probably kill some time, and arrive @ 6PM.. Greg
Thanks for the invite , I would love to be there but we have plans tonight. Plus I have to board up the house and everything...dont you know there is a hurricane coming? Oh wait, I forgot Neil Frank told me not to worry about that anymore, well that clears up a little time but unfortunatly not enough to make it out tonight. You guys have fun and take some pictures!
Yep, I left everyone's helmets on the Dining Room table....Valeria will bring them... John goes to DPS for test today maybe he'll pass....last time in a Suburban didn't go too well! Looks like Amanda is out with volleyball, but she's not old enough for the big karts???? *putting red one back on the shelf* She's got the best helmet of them all.......LOL! On this team, Lady Valeria and John Henry, squaring off against the other team, BigTex back from karting retirement and his rookie team mate, Scott "Lil' Bull" Leach!!!!! LOL! Bring it on......
Lady Valeria waits until 24 hours before landfall to turn me loose with the window boarding, as she hates touching up the nail holes afterward....I suppose I should get those new clips........LOL! *Looking out BIG front picture window*
The wife has to work late tonight, so I'm out of the running guys. I'm on kid patrol for the evening. Have fun! Next time...........
BT, Tell the truth, who had 3rd quickest overall tonight in the second heat...?? (First 2 were European experienced studs!) Greg
LOL! That was great time! That was a hot lil' thing taking our cash, eh?? The Student has surpassed the Master, a review of my times in the cold light of morning shows that Lil' Bull Leach has beaten the times of his Dad........LOL! He was pretty proud of that and pointed out it could have been the machinery...humble even in Victory........Speedy308 would have been proud! It appears on Lap 10 of the final heat BigTex spent a great deal of time resting in the Turn One tire wall....you cannot win a race THAT WAY! He blames it on his full quill ostrich cowboy boots, NOT the best choice of raceday footwear! He started the final heat in the AJ Foyt numbered car #14 from the front row, with Lil' Bull DIRECTLY behind him on the outside, Row 2...........Tex held his own but Scott was not to be denied, showing excellent race craft, passing finally and disappering off into the sunset, as Western Heroes do.............. Grinning ear to ear I might add, no mercy for the Old Man.......
