Agree on destroying those cars - Illegal monies pays and brings these cars back home, the only authorized Ferrari dealer can't compete with these independent brokers(legal or illegal) because of so called deferred tax payments, while the legal car cost almost 4x the real value. I've brought several car's to Manila the legal way and have horrible stories, sickening. Friends who visit never leave though, hehehe - wonder why@# Evo's, Subie's, Bimmers, MB, Jags are common there though, Shiv. We were rallying Subaru's back in the late 80tsh. Stop the smugglers!
Lovely country, however, certain parts are extremely volitale and are frankly unsafe for American's to travel to. Just remember the drug trade and international and domestic terrorism are very much intertwined over there. Ramsey Yousef was rumored to be planning to assasinate both the Pope and President Clinton in the Phillipines. In fact, he was arrested in Manilla, but not after he placed a bomb on a 747 killing one person (the plane landed only because of some amazing flying). He was arrested shortly before he could put project "Bojinka" into play which called for detonating bombs on several international flights at the same time. Not to mention that Yousef is considered as one of the main masterminds of the 1st WTC. In short, drugs in the Phillipines are connected to militant islamic groups and terrorists in some ways. Stop them getting money, and the life you might save is an American in the States...
