I have been in pursuit of the "right" car for almost a year. In fact, I tired of looking and bought a Porsche to hold me over until I found the perfect car. Patience pays!

I must thank Ray Johns, whose patience, knowledge, and answers to my endless stupid questions resulted in my find. Granted he would have preferred me buy a clone of his fine machine, but I'm a red/tan guy (tonyc!!). I can't thank you enough. I have never been so excited about acquiring my dream car which I never thought I'd own. I am so grateful. If you lived closer, I'd help you with those hardwoods. Also, Tony C and Tony T., you guys are all great. My thanks.

I purchased it from Joe Maniaci from Ferrari of Houston. It would NOT have been possible to have a better experience than I did. The guy was unbelieveable, going above and beyond the call of duty in several instances. I WILL BUY FROM THEM AGAIN. Man, I can't believe how nice the car looks. I am a customer for life Joe.

I've attached a couple of pictures of my new ride. Now I know why everyone loves these cars.

Thanks again Ray, Tony & Tony, and all the people on the forum that make up Fchat. I also want to thank my mother, my childhood friend Mike, my kindergarten teacher who said I wasn't worth a cent, the mugger I beat-up at grandcentral station for taking my bosses brief case. Oh, what am I doing? Sorry...

Funny, yet scarey story. We were headed up to Stamford and before boarding the train he wanted to use the restroom so left me to watch his briefcase and the passing crowd. Three guys came up to me; one diverting my attention with some smack, while the other grabed the boss's brief case. I took off after him not knowing the third was on my tail. I tackled the guy with the briefcase and had him in an arm bar almost instantly. The guy that was on my tail was now trying to kick me in the head. I threatened to break his friend's arm as I torqued away and he screamed. Just then, the cops grabbed the kicking dude and then the guy I had submitted. I was wearing a suit, tie and trenchcoat. I made 'em pay for his transgressions with a black eye and hyperextended elbow. I had a bruise on my head from the first shot, but managed to block the second and third kick by moving my head and using my free hand. I have experience training with police in martial arts, hand-to-hand and submissions. Being in investments, I never thought I'd be duking it out.

I was on the train with the boss like nothing happened ten minutes later. Cops took the meatheads to the pokey as they had seen it from afar. The boss and wife don't know to this day. It's funny though, an old lady walked by while my boss and I were on the train stating: "good for you, I saw the whole thing". The boss just looked up from his paper for a moment, then went back to his reading.

    New York--no thank you.

Thanks for your help. I just finished putting the after-market shields, clay, polish and waxing the car. It looks stellar. They detailed it for me, but I am very picky about my cars. I'm very happy.

    Thanks again~

I was wanting an 01 or later, but came across a 2000 that was just so nice it looks brand new. Well, maybe a year old. I love it. I'm bummed because I have babysitting duty and can't take it for a ride. I did clay, polish and wax it though. I'll take it out when the wife gets home.

Great Looking car, and the manual is terrific. Looks like a "Sabia" interior? Hard to tell from the pics, but very nice.

    Let the modding begin.

You are most welcome Bill (and thanks for the kind words, of course :) I'm glad to hear you got the car and that it's in great shape! I think you looked at just about every car out there (not to mention putting them all on a cross-referenced spreadsheet! :) and from what I can see, it appears you ended up purchasing the best of the cars by far.

Just based on the photos, it looks in near perfect shape! Nice going (all the effort and patience paid off!)

    Congrats.
