I just found out that I will be living in Prague February-June 2008. I will be doing some lecturing at two universities there. I think I will look for an apartment in Vinohrady area to be convenient to walk to one university and catch transportation to the other (A line).
Any suggestions of Ferrari or auto related activity in that part of the world during those months would be appreciated. Hopefully I can visit some events, museums, collections, etc that will give me some added reason to explore Central Europe. Also, any suggestions about living in Prague would be welcome. My wife and I are looking forward to it.

FChatter Malfark lived in Prague with his 328 for some time. I'm not far too and I've spent time in Prague. You will love it unless you are seriously twisted ;-). Our part of the world is not really heavy on Ferraris. Enjoy the history and culture and if you're desperate for Ferrari stuff make a trip to Maranello. Come to Poland and visit Kraków and Wrocław - you will not regret it. Vinohrady is a nice area.

Both places look like they would be a perfect spot for a car guy to visit. I won't have a car while I am there, so it will keep me going!

*Ouch* Judging by the damage maybe it's from the one that slid into the padock way back when. Nice looking cafe!

Good observation - maybe so. Haven't heard about too many F50 crashes.

    It turns out the cafe has a website so you can find easily now;

As Przemek said, I live in Prague for 8 years and had the only 328 in the country for the last two years. Although the F-car scene there is relatively small, the compact dealership is not bad at all: http://www.hp-exclusiv.cz/

    They're in Prague 6 at:

    HP-Exclusiv
    Scuderia Praha s.r.o.
    U Prioru 1046/1A
    Praha 160 00

...coming down Evropska from the airport, turn right, just after the McDonalds on your left.

    Cheers, MARK

I appreciate the suggestions to get me some Ferrari time while I am in Prague next spring. I will need some Ferrari sights to go with my other travels. It sounds like we will also try to get over to Poland and Hungary while we are there. Last time I was in Europe I was welcomed at the Ferrari dealership in Berlin. Very nice people and I got a chance to see the 360 before it came to the US. Hopefully I can also arrange a factory tour. We are looking forward to it!

Prague is awesome! Just had to say that...favorite European city I've visited...

Walking downtown I did see a red F50 drive by at night, loudest exhaust I've ever heard on a Ferrari.

    Ahoj, Hi Rbtrader
    Welcome in CZ
If you have questions, send me email.
Write me, when you come to Prague.
Czech Ferrari scene is bigger and bigger and the count of events is no more so tragic :)

    Mr.Modena,

I'll take you up on your offer, some local knowledge will be appreciated. I'll start looking for my apartment in November, and may need some advice then. Thanks for the offer.
