To get the actual price paid by the buyers add 10% to the hammer price. For example: the Aston DB4 GT sold for $1,650,000

I'm still trying to track down prices on some other lots from the rm auctions. I can't find anything on the net.

I'm looking for the results of lot 240 which was a yellow 03 Corvette 50th commemorative.

    cheers

    ken

4.9 million for a lwb spyder?

Is there something ultra rare about that car or has the market just hit it top?

Regarding the Cal 250 LWB Spyder: There is something special about the car. This was one of only a few alloy body cars, and was a Le Mans winner. Thus, a provenanced (sp?) car fetching an appropriate amount of money. The pre-auction estimates were right at $5M, so this seemed to be a reasonable buy. The impressive thing about the car, as I understand it, is that it was actually driven sort of regularly in vintage events-- my kind of owner.

heres the info on the 250

RM Auctions is honored to present the ex-Bob Grossman, 1959 Ferrari 250 GT LWB Spyder California Alloy Competizione, chassis no. 1451 GT. It is offered on behalf of its private owner who acquired the car over 26 years ago and is one of only seven original alloy-bodied examples built. Bob Grossman piloted 1451 GT to 5th overall while finishing first in class at the 1959 24 Hours of Le Mans. It remains one of the most important and desirable open Ferraris in existence.
