    Gentlemen,

I am new and seeking a nice Red/Tan F355 Berlinetta 6 speed. Ideally 1 owner who maintained the car in an impeccable manner. Looking to spend under $65,000.00. I have plenty of time to find the right one. I appreciate your input and thank you in advance.

One owner car, for that price would have to be a 95----going to be VERY difficult finding a 13 year old car having only one owner... Realistically hold off if that is all you can spend right now..

Good luck. Like Robbie said, finding a 13 yo car that has had one owner should be next to impossible. If you can, add about seven or eight thousand to your budget and you MIGHT find something. Otherwise, you might consider a 348 SS. There is a really nice TB that a member here is selling in you price range.

    Thanks for your input.

    Not interested in a 348.

1 owner would be nice but not expected.

I have time to save money to get the 'right' one.

Next to impossible to find. Plan on spending the low to mid-80s for this kind of car. I started looking in that price range and soon realized to find a well sorted car with good records and service you have to pay more money. You buy the wrong car and you will pay, pay, pay, to get it up to the standard you've described here. Then your spouse(?) will end up hating the car and calling it a piece of junk.

I am in the same boat, let me know if you "find" one.

I bought two of them that failed PPI with low compression.

I think the major issue with the 355 is that the exhaust headers crack and most people don't even know when they do and keep[ on driving them and damage the valves thus the low compression.

Other wise I think it is the most beautiful car in the world, "if" you find a car that passes PPI with good compression, I guess the first thing to do is to replace the header with an aftermarket unit.

    Good luck!!!

I am still searching my "red" 355......

Spend all the money that you can to get the right car and try not to get too excited, emotions tend to cloud judgement. If you buy cheap it will more than likely cost you in the long run. Best of Luck!
