All I can say is WOW! What a fantastic job you have done. I was driving mine this weekend and admiring what an awesome car this is...and mine is bone stock. I can't imagine what this new and improved Boxer must be like to drive. Simply awesome!

    Wow. Knocks my socks off........

Is it bad that I have some serious "Boxer Envy". . . . .considering that I actually HAVE a Boxer already ???? There's gotta be a word for that, however embarrassing. I'll admit, I'm guilty.

Now you've got me eyeing mine for a little "spa treatment".....possibly up there in Chicago.

Beautiful. Probably not enough superlatives in the language for this one.

Mark, love the Boxer. Its been 7 weeks since mine was destroyed, haven't given much thought to a replacement, but then I see the photos of yours...............nothing at all like a Boxer.

Please post pics of your car at the show. So sorry I didn't make the drive up the coast this year.

Ron, great to see your fingers tappin' the keyboard again. Very glad you are well. As an admirer of Ron's poor late car, Mark,is your car lower than stock or do the tires and wheels fit the well better?

Can't wait to see it up close and personal some day.

    Ron,

There has been so many heartfelt and articulate posts in response to your horrible tradegy that I can only imagine your overwhelmed. I guess at the end of the day, a Ferrari is just a car until people like you make it about so much more - a community of people enjoying their cars.

"You can take the guy out of the Ferrari, but you can't take the Ferrari out of the guy" is what I'm thinking my friend.

I'll bring it to Florida in January and I'm looking forward to finally meeting you.

You have made my Boxer ownership better.

It was a great experience going to Monterey - so many amazing cars and people!

49311 had a steady stream of people looking at it all day. In fact through much of the day it was hard to even see the car. Seemed as though most approved as I had numerous people say how much they liked it and one guy mentioned he had brought 4 different people back to see it.

I could tell that several people however absoutely didn't approve as they looked at it for awhile, then they'd shake their heads and walk away. A few talked with me about it and they'd say .... why?

A TV crew came by twice (I'm a little camera shy) trying to locate the owner - not sure if thats a good sign or not.

4 judges looked at it and talked with me for quite awhile about it. They didn't quite know what to make of it. They were impressed with the quality and detail but had never seen anything like it.

I think the main thing is what you "think". As long as you love it and will enjoy it, it really doesnt matter what others say.

You wouldnt be able to please everyone regardless. The labour of love sure shows in pics, i bet its better in person

Enjoy it, and drive it in good health !!

Thanks for sharing the pics !!

You'll always draw some flack from the 'Purists' IMO......but your type of resto is very common in Japan.

There's been a thread on JRVs site for some time of a guy tediously reworking his car into 'Much better than new".......

F--- 'em if they can't take a joke!!!! LOL!

When you get your final wheels it'll tone down the overall tone of your car........well done man, Enzo would have d@mn sure built it that way had he had the technology, I am sure!

Glad to see you made it out there, looks like you drew the 'right crowd' to me, in one of those shots! ;)

    Hi Mark,

I was one of those that looked at your car in admiration of all the effort and detail that has been applied. Unbelievable! Better in person than in pics here!!

(Would have loved to chat w/ you, but didn't know which of the hordes you might be.)

Saw you rolling through Pebble on Saturday as well. Looks/sounds great!!

    Cheers,

    ...too bad!

i am a purist and have dreamed, lived, and owned boxers for nearly my entire life. i grew up next to luigi chinetti (Coco) as a boy...i feel i know these cars and this car is off the charts in every way.
based on the pictures ( i suspect they do not lie) this is the finest boxer build in the world and even the purist in me would take this car over a perfect stock bbi.

my only change would be to put 17" diameter f-40 style wheels and a black leather wrapped steering wheel. otherwise, your car is the belle of the ball wherever she goes!!!

wow...seems to be the only word to describe!!!!

more pictures and more driving impressions please. the story of this resto is far from over mark!!!

    best,

    pcb
