would the group be able to make one exception? my dad is very interested in a murci. i would keep it very exclusive. just to take a video. i would really really appreciate it. We have been at ZR a few times this summer looking at some cars and he requested me to get some in person opinions.

has but we both want to see what these cars are like up close driving down the road. i mean you probably know what im talking about. first time buying an exotic. wanting to see how it sounds and looks cruisin down the road. if you want, i wont bring a camera or any recording device. my dad and i really want to see the car in action. i wouldnt tag along the whole way or anything. i know that you want your privacy. from one exotic lover to another, i would be extremely pleased if I could be able to get this for my dad. he would love it.

A 275 with an XK 140?, Dino and an E-type roadster??? That is one of the most spectacular congregations ever. Why wasn't I invited? Wow.

ZR is a sponsor and user on this board. You can message him yourself and ask what is the best way to view and experience these cars. His Username is 2nastie. You seem like a good kid so if you're dad is for real I am sure he'll be happy to help.

Hello. Do any of you know anything about the 348tb @ Colonial Motors up here in Edmonton? He's been trying to sell it for probably damn near 2 yrs.

They only accept sealed bid offers on the car. They won't even tell you what the asking price is. It's a 91, red with 33000 miles on it. I've been lurking for awhile now and have never noticed anyone mention this car. Any thoughts?

I'm sure Z.R. knows or has heard about the car.

    Hi Jeff:

If they're only taking sealed bids, they're not really trying to sell it, IMO. Probably waiting for a sucker to make a stupid offer on it... then they "win".

I would recommend contacting one of the reputable dealers about sourcing a 348 instead. You have a chance to get what you want and have someone else make sure the car is legit. If you are more of a do-it-yourself type, 1992 and earlier 348s are open to importation and there are a ton of them down south. Check FerrariAds...

Yeah kinda what I figured, thanks.

    On a side note:

I'm shocked at how many exotics are in Calgary compared to Edmonton. I saw a green Gallardo on the weekend and have seen the white one many times. My real estate agent owns a 99 Diablo (yellow), Steel blue Continental GT at least once a week or so. Not that many F-cars though. Yellow 348 that was won a raffle and of course the gun metal grey 360 that is being raffled off in WEM. Oh yeah and a beautiful silver 328 I've seen a few times.

It seems like you guys have alot more exoctics than we do, wonder why?

LOL, yer such a playah. :D

This sealed bid 348 does sound shady. However, it could very well be a company that sells repo'd cars. Alot of times you have to submit a bid with these company's and see what happens. There is a place around the corner from me here that does that.

    You know it, homey!

I am aware of the sealed bid places, but usually there is a time limit in place. Highest number in 30 days gets the car... something like that. When this car has been sitting for two years, I suspect something else is up.

Vasco, maybe you should send a $15k bid...

    Good day Jeff,

I called Colonial motors a year and some ago and they told me the same thing. I was able to sort of weasel a price out of them though. They said that they received offers of $85K from a dealer in Montreal and so they would want more than that. I knew this was crap, but politely told them to take the $$ and run, as the car was not worth more than mid 60's (it needs a engine-out service on it as I recall). I never did see the car, as there was no point in looking at it considering these guy's expectations were so out of whack.

    Cheers,

    Sam

I just got back from Vancouver & took pics of the Weissach/Lamborghini delearship/shop.
I went to the Ferrari/Maserati dealership but besides a nice 550 they didn't have much.
The Weissach had tons of 911's/elise's and a techart 911.
