http://www.westtownimportedcars.com/cgi-bin/showroom.cgi?mode=show&id=12898&d_id=1003 Any info or commments appreciated! Bumpers painted ????
Cuz' they MATCH the car! LOL! I'd 'drive and enjoy' it after return them to the proper appearance......
Door mirrors should be black, as well .......but that doesn't bother me nearly as much as the bumpers...WTF?
I don't like the yellow painted bumpers either. How much flex do you have to mix in to successfully paint rubber trim like that?
The normal amount....LOL! DuPont Imron sticks to anything as well...I have seen guys color change interior vinyl with it! LOL! Did you want to be rid of your front bumper that split??? I am thinking of pulling a North American mold or something, to finish #20405....
I DONT know the car, but the price seems a bit on the high side. Its a 1981, so its a 2V and they are asking $33.9K? Miles are good, and I'd ask for a copy of the paperwork on thier service. Interior looks ok too. I agree, the painted bumpers are a bit much, but for the right price, it doesnt look that bad. PPI recommended of course, but I'd back them off that price to a realistic number before going much further. James in Denver
Maybe it's honest documented mileage, the Service is good, and they are lurking on our "Values going up" thread... You are SUCH a skeptic, James.............you can miss a good car easily quibbling over the money, man! That's whay I have three and you only have ONE! Not saying this one IS a good one, but the color combo is nice if you straighten out a few minor issues.....
I wasnt unnessarily bagging on the car, just seemed priced a bit high. I'm not comparing garages either, I feel lucky to have the one I have. As mentioned, it doesnt look too bad. James in Denver
j/k. I have been at it a lot longer...LOL! But here's how I do my deals: "How much?" *lots of important questions* "OK, here ya go, which way back to Texas?" *vroooooooooom!*
I remember Ferrari of Denver had a red/tan w/painted bumpers, it looked even worse in person than in the pictures. Nothing a little semi gloss Krylon won't fix ;-)
Man! I KEEP forgetting about that thing. It is still sitting on the floor in a back room. Let me see if I can get pictures over to you this week...
Looked at car today, he will do the 30k service after I buy it or knock 6K off?Leather and int in great shape, rugs look old, one knob missimg on console, trunk struts weak, engine bay dirty, even swap for my 91 NSX with 39K miles mint, 33k for my car 33 for his? What do you guys think??? He says car is steel but it seems like a fiberglass car to me is that possible? I am a newbie to Ferrari as you can tell. Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks in advance Mike
You get a Ferrari mechanic to do a PPI? You didn't mention what he said. If not, don't buy the car until you do it. That's a must. Not a maybe. Not a "I have a pretty good eye", it's a must. (Been there, done that, got the receipts to prove it)
