Men, this 355 GTB got a V12 Testa Rossa-engine installed about 6 years ago! The rear hood was modified as was the interior (Porsche racing seats etc.) and the suspension. The car is currently for sale in Germany. Ciao! Walter Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Wow!! Awesome, thanks for sharing pics Walter!!! They really massaged the rear gaurds didnt they? Can you recall how much they want for this car mate? I wonder what it would be like to drive. The throaty flat-12 would sound glorious, but I wonder what the handling would be like? Do you know who installed this engine Walter?
oh dear... I really hoped I would never see it again... nevermind, here's the vid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N-c0DZSnMtg @walter sind das die Bilder aus dem entsprechenden Carpassion-Thread?
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh...........I remember this car now. Well, I remember this vid. I have never seen pics of the car like the ones Walter posted.
Hey...there a Testarossa engine in Ferrariads now. I could do this to my 348, right after I put the 911 3 liter motor in my 914. Then maybe a LS3 engine in my Vette, and a V-rod motor in my Harley. If I don't eat or sleep and rob three or four banks, I could do this. Or I could just buy a Testarossa. Damn, I talked myself out of a fun project again. Bee Jay
Will try to get their price figure tomorrow! The handling of the car is perfect as the suspension is also modified. The conversion was done by very young mechanics of a very good workshop whos owner later became a criminal. He was bancrupt little later. One of his very good ex-mechanics works today on my Maserati. I saw this GaGa-355 beeing devoloped over a period of about 2 years and drove it once. It furiously goes like a street-rat as the V12-engine was also tuned! Ciao! Walter
Muahahahaaaaaaa. I LOVE IT!!!! I really gotta hand it to guys that have the balls to do mods like this. Although, unless they really got some big time power out of the 12 I don't see what you would want to do this, other than just for kicks. None the less I think it rocks! Big ups to the guys that built it. It sounds sweet too.
Sometimes you just have to do it, well because you can. I've got myself 3/4 talked into pulling the supercharged 500+ hp 8 out of my 308 (actually it's already out ) and putting in a 500+ hp 365/400/412 V12 and just to add to the fun, I'm thinking I'll put TR heads on it. My wife thinks I should just buy a TR, but what fun wold that be???
The German TÜV said: "....have some fun, baby!!" When the job is done perfectly -like this one!- the mighty TÜV doesn`t make any problems. The modification were done with official Ferrari-acceptance! Ciao! Walter
No bull**** at all, sorry! I never understood the point of this conversion. Granted, nothing wrong with modifying the suspension and tuning the engine, but why changing the engine??
Check with excelsior on these pages. He was going to do this with his 355 Spider. He has a 512TR motor, I think. He put a 355 engine in his 308, IIR. The guy has a serious V-12 power jones!
