Well guys I'm officially in the hunt for my 348. My Mondial is with its new owner as of last night. I'm only looking for a west coast car, so no offers east of Arizona please. I would prefer a 90 or newer and no spiders. I'm sure the stooges could jump in with some advice here.

Took my daughter to school in my 348 this morning. Pleasant day. Sun's up. Gentle breeze. Top's down.

    Life is good.

Enjoy your search. There are some great 348's out there. Great handling. Good performance. Fantastic, sexy, alluring, dramatic looks.

And it is a simple car. No power steering. No power seats. No power shocks. No air bags (not even motorized seat belts if you go for an '89 model).

I'm a big fan of keeping things simple!

    ...and beautiful.

    All right! No Spiders? BOOOO!!!

Don't write off contact from the East Coast, though. For example, my 348 was a Cali car from day one, but I moved a few months ago.

You can tell that the bottom picture above is of your car at Eugenio's because he's placed spacers under each tire to prevent even the slightest tire deformation while your car is waiting to be serviced.

The man doesn't miss a trick.

That is why we refer to him as THE MAN and not Eugenio :D

I'd love a spider personally. My wife on the other hand hates convertables. Since she is with me on most of my drives I'd like to keep the complaining and bad attitude to a minimum.
East coast cars are not really a problem for me as is flying all over the country to find the car I want. Besides I'm terrified of flying in commercial airliners. Sounds kinda wierd since I'm a helicopter pilot huh. I think it's a control issue. Any shrinks want to take a stab at this one.

Congrats - I thought the hunt was really a lot of fun. But I'm glad it's over! Now I can finally enjoy the fruits of my labours.

Hope you find a good one soon.

Doesn't sound wierd at all. I know a few commercial pilots (indirectly) and it scares me that they're even let out of the house!

Where are you? I don't know of the Sonoran Dessert. I assume it's here in Cali. You've come to the right place. These guys will help you. They love shopping for Ferrari's. Searching is so much fun, that there are people that will do that for you. I got emails aplenty telling my about various cars all over the country, and some in Canada. But you gotta be more specific in what you want. 90 or newer is a good start. What color combo? What mileage will you accept, and here is the biggie, what is your budget? Shipping is an expensive PITA, so finding a car close enough to drive home is highly recommended. It was hard for me to find a Cali. car with low miles, because we have year round driving season. I watched the prices go up when the spring sprung, so buying in the winter is to the buyers advantage, summer to the seller. I like TSs, yea they may leak in the rain, but it never rains here, and when it does, I'm not driving my Ferrari. So, do I sound like an expert? I've owned my car three weeks now. I'm a sophmore, a wise fool.

I did my commercial (JAR CPL) in Florida several years ago and I'd be scared flying around US airspace too ! Never had so many near misses in such a short space of time... ! Just thinking about joining the circuit at either Vero Beach or Okeechobee still gets the pulse racing ! Only you boys in the US could come up with a 45deg downwind join !!!

I'm in Phoenix if you are interested in checking mine out ('90 ts), no problem. Not for sale (just got it) but if you are looking for comparisons I'd be happy to help out.

Thanks for the offer Curt. I actually looked into the car you bought a few months ago. Quite a nice car with good service history. I thought I'd buy it and keep my Mondial as well but my wife very nicely reminded me that her car was not going to be kicked out of the garage for another Ferrari. Congrats on you purchase you got a good one.
    Drive it in good health.
