The "sh*t" it kind of is, is one of the world's best track cars.

The Ariel Atom is powered by a Honda.
    Paganis have Mercedes engines.
    Rolls have BMW engines.
    Nobles run on Ford V6s.
    Ultimas on Chevy V8s.

Does that make these crappy companies? Hell no.

You might want to get off the crap that the Japanese can't build a great engine because they can. 1988-1992. McLaren powered by Honda engines. And guess what. They f'ing won 4 out 5 championships.

+1, I'm not sure why it seems many have a grudge agains Japaneese motors. They're historically some of the most sucessful and reliable powerplants out there. Not ever engine has to cost $50k plus to be a great design/motor.

I can deal with American and european powerplants because they sound great but I don't know if you hear any "imports" driving with exhaust but they sound awfull.

Let me ask you this, was the Mclaren F1 powered by a Honda engine? you see I can careless whats on the race track cause iam not gonna be driving an Forumula 1 car on the streets. Its about what powers the Supercar not the race car that I care about.

Has any of them crossed the finsh line at Lemans?.

Aside from the Mazda 787B there hasn't been a production Japanse car to do so. Until the day I see a Skyline or an NSX dominating GT1 against the C6R's iam not conviced at all.

No, but did you know McLaren contacted Honda before BMW? Know why? Because of their dominant F1 relationship.

As for exhaust sound, I didn't realize that fat fartcan from HKS was something Honda put on their cars, right? Go look at a '02 NSX-R. Under 330 horses, and yet it has run with just seconds within Ferrari's 360 Challenge Stradale.

You know, I COULD show a Nissan or NSX that could whoop even an LMP's ass. But the problem is, the Super GT is a whole 'nother series. Tell you this. I bet if you put a C6R in the Super GT, it'd get slapped in the face every single time.

Just because only 1 Japanese manufacturer has won LeMan doesn't mean suddenly the Japanese can't beat others. You do know Toyota came really, really, REALLY close with GT-One, don't you? Probably not.

Honestly man, you need to stop thinking a Japanese engine isn't worthwhile. If McLaren wanted Honda to produce an engine for its famous F1 before anyone else, then that really must say something.

You sure are quick to judge and criticized for someone that has a Fiero as a daily driver.

Yes, I know although I had asked him before if the McLaren would have been any less of a car if Honda had agreed to build the engine. :)

It would be easy to put a GT1 car in superGT which are pretty much two diffrent cars and yeah the C6R would probably lose but who cares? the C6R doesn't need to prove itself anymore. Its has the best manufacters in the world thrown at them and still proved me wrong. And sorry but close isn't CLOSE enough, the Titans came close to winning the Superbowl against the rams and guess what they lost and nobody cares about how close the titans came with winning the game.

Japanse designs are outstanding but as far as taking it to whole other level they have to get back to the drawing board and do some serious suff. If Lamborghini is to be a part of toyota that could very much change and I could definately see a Toyota/Lamborghini team at F1 someday posing a serious threat to ferrari but there has to be alot of changes within the company and Lamborghini could very well be that awnser to that.

The C6R has nothing prove? I disagree. You think it winning the GT1 class in ALMS means it has nothing left to prove? Bah, the class is a joke. It's got Chevrolet behind it. Go watch the C6R without precious GM behind it in the FIA.

And no, you could not just put a GT1 in the SuperGT. It wouldn't stand a chance. Those cars are extremely powerful and insanely fast.

P.S. The Superbowl is nothing like the 24 Hours of LeMans. How can you even compare the 2?
