Lets hope the BMW s hold position
No tv for me today. I'm in Sonoma for the IRL race, but the Lodge doesn't have SPEED (imagine that, given they have two major events at Infineon, plus others). Looks like Kimi is keeping Massa close to advance his position and Alonso is all over Kubica's gearbox. Of course, this is based on watching "live timing". I'm assuming Kimi's start from the clean side jumped him past Hamilton. edit: make that Alonso is all over Heidfeld's gearbox...
Webber's car on dolly being rolled into the garage. Will be his 5th DNF in 12 races - not good. Nick doing good job of keeping Alonso behind him. Official word, Webber retired. Bet Alonso gets called in for early pit stop to get him past Nick. Carol
This race is pretty boring thus far. I'm not sure why McLaren used the hard tires on both of their stints so far. I figured they would've switched to softs in the second. Btw, the race at Bristol last night has been a lot more interesting than this.
this is a rather boring race . . . pit stop strategy for the final stop is going to be the key to the race winner I watched Bristol on live timing - you're absolutely correct - watch Speed today at 3 pm EDT for a very NON-BORING race ! ! ! (we posted boring race about the same time !) Carol
Yes, Massa back out in front of Kimi - Hamilton's tyre problem sucks. Great move by Lewis for NOT turning the car with the shredding taking place.
