Thank you all for this very warm welcome and helpfull tips... I was not dead decided on changing the color... I was testing the waters with other Ferrari owners... true, it is a unique color...

I will surely register on as many sites as possible, and gather as much data on this car as possible...

I would like to do some cosmetics on the car, because I'm kinda picky on the little details... but it will surely be a daily driver for me... I commute in a 997 C2S Cab., and I was thinking maybe of selling the GTC to upgrade my Carrera to a F430... I usually like to own just one car, and drive it all the time... plus, I've had a few bad past experiences in restoring vintage cars... professionals are hard to come by around here... I'm not decided yet, although I am tempted to keep it, restore it, and enjoy the transformation... I like my cars to run and look as if they just walked off the production line... (got a mild case of OCD! hehehe)

I sourced some nice pics. from the web for inspiration... what do you guys think?

M-m-m-m! Those who pick green cars are usually associated with genius. change the color and you will more than likely loose your mind.

this is 16261 seen in baden baden / germany 2003. seems to be the same color. i don´t like the color but would suggest to keep the car original anyway. there are very few ferrari in this colour and it stands out from the crowd......and as you can see - it´s admired by a beautyful young lady, so what can be wrong ?

I did not read every single post in the thread.

If that car is a real 13.8KM car, it is in your best interests to not change a thing. I would not even bother, trying to fix factory flaws. Keep it as an original survivor, and you are ahead of almost everyone else!

Collectors love to find unusual and original colors. Don't change a thing. Nice find and congratulations.

you are absolutly right... I've decided to keep it original, and only do minor cosmetic work, such as a re-spray, new tires, and engine bay detailing...

just enough to give it a fresh relook...

thanks for the advices everyone, really helped me put things in perspective... :)

What a beautiful, original car you have found. I think the newer cars are awesome with respect to their speed and technology, but there is nothing like the pure, mechanical feel of driving a vintage, 12- cylinder Ferrari with all of it's individual idiosyncracies that you will happily sort out with familiarity. That's the fun part of owning one of the older ones instead of just getting in, turning the key and driving. This model has been credited with the "best sounding" 12- cylinder ferrari of all. Keep it and enjoy it! Well done!

The car in the top left photo of post number 27 is a car I remmeebr very fondly: I was lucky enought to drive it that day, when I worked at Motorcar Gallery, the photo was taken either at Moroso or somwhere during Cavallino classic weekend Janaury 2004.

I was going out with Mia a Swedish girl and gave her her first 0 to 200kph and she loved it! She said oh my car can't do that!LOL. The car was sold to the Chicago area and was truly superb.

The color is oro Kelso, the same as my Khamsin, I actually photographed both cars together but have no idea where those shots are. It is a very interesting color which changes with the amount of light and which I grew very fond of.

I love it when a car in an unusual color stands out in a sea of red Ferrari V8's!

The green C4 in ths thread is not verde pino, definitely not, verde pino is a darker color.

    Marc,

Is this the C/4 that you exchanged (plus cash) for my Daytona, 14201? I recall a story to that effect where the previous owner of my car decided that it took too much physical strength to drive and traded it in for a C/4 instead!

    How are things going?

    -steve
