Ferrari Owners Club Michigan Track Day

Attached in the information for the FOC Michigan Track Day at Waterford Hills Raceway.

This event is open to both members and non members.

**THIS IS NOT A RACE OR TIMED EVENT**

September 12, 2007 from 9:30am - 4pm

There will be a professional driver / instructor on site for both classroom and in car instruction.

Please register early as space is limited so we can all have plenty of track time.

Why no passengers? Is that an insurance thing?

 

Good question. I based it on what Cauley does at their events. They do not allow passengers. I just assumed it was an insurance thing. I will check with the insurance and verify. If it is ok with insurance then passengers will be allowed. I will let you know soon.

At Waterford open track days anyone over 18 years old is allowed to ride along providing they are wearing long shirt, long pants and a helmet.

 

Chris, thanks for bringing this up. Passengers are allowed see note from Waterford.

"As far as passengers, they need to be 18 or older, they need to have helmets just like the drivers and of course proper seat belts.

Waterford has also revised the Helmet Rule this year. Used to be helmets had to be SA rated (auto) but this year they are allow M rated helmets (motorcycle). Basically the difference is that the lining in M helmets is not nomex.

Still need to Snell 95 or newer.

I will bring the extra helmets I have. (if I remember)

 

If you are planning on coming and have not registered yet please do so soon.

We are going to open up the few remaining spots to non Ferrari's soon.

 

We need to get a rough count for who is intending on participating in this event so we can plan accordingly. If you are planning on registering but haven't yet, please post here, or email Nat, Jerry, or I so we have a rough idea on numbers.

FYI, this event is open to non F-Cars also.

 

What are the odds of you remembering Chris ?

I may be able to make this event but I have no helmet.

 

If you need one I'll be sure to bring it. But like I said Motorcycle hlmets are acceptable. I'm sure I can borrow one of those.

I don't know if it has been mentioned but in addition to helmet long sleeve shirts and long pants must be worn on track.

I'd also recomend an oil change just before and after the event.

how many cars are we short?did you get hold of the guy we met at meadow brook with 430.i ran into him at det fest of speed . HE SAID HE IS STILL INTRESTED..WHAT IS HIS NAME...?SORRY I FORGOT..

I posted an invitation on the Waterford Hills board and I e-mailed the invitation to a few friends.

Saw a red F430 on the back of a flatbed going south on 71 , near Lebanon . Then, about 10 minutes later , a red 360 & yellow Elise going the same way.
