Tail of the little Red Dragon

A small group of guys I race Autocross with are going to run the little Red Dragon (Red Bluff Road MS) Sunday September 9th. Who wants to go with us? The following is a post I put up on the Audi board http://forums.audiworld.com/rs4b7/msgs/57152.phtml

You don’t sound too excited. Maybe my living in pot hole ridden flat ground New Orleans has really gotten to me. Was it fun? I thought it was great for being so close to home. But I also ran it at twice the posted speed! ;-)

 

That sounds great, the more Euros, especially Vag cars ;-) the better. LOL

 

That looks allot better. It would be great to find a bunch of close and different changing runs and hit a different one every quarter.

 

Yup! and some are at 25x2=killer fun around a tight turn ;-)

 

I spoke to fellow enthusiast today who may bring his Yellow Gallardo. He is going to ask some friends to bring their exotics as well.

 

Sunday September 9th is fast approaching; who wants to go with us? All makes and models are welcome but it helps to be an auto enthusiast.

 

I am thinking if we meet 7:30 AM at Starbucks Coffee @ 3601 Highway 190 # D, Mandeville, LA (985) 626-5234. We leave Starbucks about 8:00AM that will put us up at Red Bluff about 9:30 AM. We can meet anyone up there who goes straight to the Bluff at the overlook. We start running Red Bluff road @ 10:00AM a few times and meet for lunch in Monticello @ the high dollar Pizza Inn about 11:30AM. This will allow us to beat any traffic as many are in church. Then everyone can go their own way or run the road some more.
Any ideas or suggestions are more than welcome.

I picked Sunday September 9th because it didn’t conflict with any SCCA races or Track days.

If any of you know Coco he may go also with his 328 or Lambo.

 

That's fine with me but if anyone is going to order and eat breakfast we will need to get there about 7:00 AM so we can still leave for 8:00. Do you know how crowded that one is early on a Sunday? The one in Metairie can get bad very early AM.

My big concern is being able to make a few runs on Red Bluff Road before church lets out. There were close to no cars on the road that AM. On my run up there the road and the only restaurant, Pizza Inn got a little crowded after 11:30 AM.
