Jas - Sorry for hijacking one of your photos but something remarkable stood out for me in this particular pic. I am not a F50 fan but for some reason the F50 in this photo - be it the angle of the shot, the top being on, or whatever - looks incredibly sexy! The lines and curves are beautiful. Never thought I would say that about a F50. Anyway, it just struck me right for some reason! :D

Thanks Jas. You cant see, but with my average track skills the look on my face was one of fear, whilst my fearless son who knows every inch of that track was telling me that I should be flat out at that point! (I have to remember he was a karting champion)

Yes you should be there next time but watch out for Jeffrey ;-)

I agree with Jeffrey the F50 looks awesome, but I think even more so in the F40's presence if such a thing is possible...

I removed the cats and replaced with straight pipes. The car really feels a lot better but I have never dynoed it to get a quantitative number. I also have a set of Hoosier slicks on the factory wheels for track outings. It has to be a very dry day 'though :)

Much louder than standard, with a deeper pitch, especially with the turbos on boost

    Excellent!

What bypass units did you use? Tubi, Hyperflow or Larini?

BTW I also spoke to Dave Helms and he reaffirmed that the best exhaust system for the USA F40 is the Tubi cannister muffler unit as i posted earlier on in this thread. But cat bypass sytems that are still 50-state legal such as the Hyperflow units can be great for the engine as you get 30% better airflow Im told.

Larry Alderson of Family Classic Cars in San Juan Capistrano (practically my neighbor) tells me that he has sold (in principle) the F40 they have for $675k US. It has 700 miles on the odometer and is unmodified. This car is one of 2 owned by a Kauai-based property developer David W who is keeping the other one.

I knew David W had a car there but I had thought it was his personal car just being kept there for storage purposes. Now I know...
