I'm trying to find the range of assembly numbers for Mondial t's and in particular that of mine.

The Assy No is meant to be behind the left rear shock tower, but on my car, there is nothing there at all. The diagram below is from the parts manual and the picture of my car.

If anyone with a t knows their assy no I'd be interested to know the number, plus the build date and Chassis number (last 5-6 digits of VIN).

    Thanks in advance, Dave

If they are anything like my 308 GTB, that number is probably all over your car. So far I have found the build number ground into the rear fiberglass wheel well liners in two inch tall numerals easily seen from the engine compartment, stamped into the doors under the door panels, stamped in the headlamp assemblies, written on the underside of the dash, I even found it written in ink on the headliner where it folded over the back side. I havnt found it on the deck lid or front hood yet, but Ive been looking and I wouldnt be surprised if I did. When I took the dash panel apart, the small strip that sits below the instruments has the number stamped on it too. Look around the car, youll find it.

My assembly number is there, just where pictured. It is an aluminum badge riveted with 2 rivets.
If yours is missing, the rivet holes should still remain. The badge is a Ferrari horse followed by a stamped number and "Assembly No". written above the stamped number.
    2cm x 7cm in size.

My '89 Mondial has the numbers stamped into the upward facing passenger side frame just behind the shock absorber top. The t's have adjustable shock absorbers. I noticed the picture did not have the adjusting motor on top of the shock.

Nice engine detail on your Mondial. Did you have that done with the engine out?

    Hey thanks.

It was/is a pretty clean car - but I did freshen it a bit during a recent full t-belt service yes. All the the surfaces are factory finish - just clean, but the valve cover wrinkle paint did require renewal.

Pic was taken during a major service - or at least the beginning of it.

There is no evidence of rivet holes, or previous repair/repaint of the frame.

I can't find this stinkin' number anywhere! You'd think that someone who sells Ferrari parts for a living could work this out on his own car! Sheesh!

Okay. At that location all I have is the metal plate (can be seen in my last photo) held on with rivets that has a listing of all the fluids for everything. Agip everywhere!

Antonio may have started the weekend a bit early with your car, omitting this assembly plate?

Ask Lolaman to check his #'s. He has a very early car as I remember.

Indeed we do... but now my car doesn't exist! Or it was made after lunch on Friday by Gui-hick!-do after a bottle of cheap lambrusco. I don't know which is worse.
    :)

Thanks guys for the info however.

You has missed the superposed plate (atached witht bolts to the subframe) whit various labels . In mine i have assy: 02058. Car is ZFFkD32B0000849443 ( 02-05-1990)

My previous post is not good for you because (I think) the superposed plate is placed only in the Mondial coupe (see Michael B atached image). I think the Mondial cab has the plate with two rivets directly to subframe.

Dave: this is same location for my plate, and I have a 1990 Mondial T cabriolet.

If I install my assembly plate in that location can I claim to have an F40 now?
